The February challenge is now closed.

First of all, let me thank all our participants for what I thought was a real fruitful month. In fact I thought we didn't have a weak entry in the bunch.

You may now vote for two of your favorite entries:

In order of submission:

* Nerys Ghemor's Catacombs of Oralius: The Guide

* mirandafave's A Fateful Course

* CaptainGold's It Is A Significant Assignment, Part 1

* Mistral's The Featherduster

* yellowdingo's Boldly Lost

* Dulak's Star Trek: USS Shepard - Tennison

* Starkers' Camelot's Betrayal

Voting ends March 3

I will reserve my vote as a tie breaker if necessary.

A neat challenge this month with lots of great entrants. Particular mention to CaptainGold for a deeply engrossing tale despite the subject matter.

However, my votes went to Nerys because of the wonderful tone and language used. Very effecting and beautiful. i just don't know how you manage to convey so much in so little. Absolutely wonderful.

My other vote wnet to Dulak for a tale so very engrossing with a wonderful character and great critters that honestly scare the begeesus of us. What a cliff hanger ending!

Thanks for the great reads everybody but Nerys and Dulak in particular.

Of the stories I read this time around, the ones I connected with the most were captaingold's character in "It Is a Significant Assignment," and Dulak's "Tennison." Excellent work! :)

Kudos to all who entered - I thought every story was a winner. :bolian:

In the end, I had to go with captaingold and Dulak.

I knew The Guide had my vote-but Gold and Dulak had me gnashing my teeth to choose one. Gold got it but not by much...

The poll appears to be closed.

Again, all great entries this month. I really enjoyed them all.

Unfortunately, there can only be one winner.

Congratulations, Dulak!

Looking forward to see what you'll come up with for the March entry.

Go, DULAK!!! :D

Though of course I wish the results had turned out sliiiiiightly different ( ;) ), I have to say--I am very happy with the winning entry. And captaingold gave it a fantastic effort as well. :)

Congrats, and let this be your encouragement to stay with us and keep treating us to your excellent writing! (Ohh...and sometime, I'd love to hear the rest of Ensign Dulak's explanation and how he knows what he knows! :D )
