Contest: ENTER February 2021 Art Challenge — GalaxyBirds are GO!

BorgMan

This is going to be fun...

So, what I had in mind:

GalaxyBirds of Federational Rescue
GB1 = Warpship Phoenix
GB2 = TOS Runabout, but larger
GB3 = Trinacelle, rocket like ship
GB4 = Podship, maybe like Aquashuttle?
GB5 = Spacestation with specific GB3 docking, general dockingbays
GB6 = Podship, shuttle for asteroid reconaissance
Tracy Island: planetoid in nebula? Island on Risa?
The Orion / The Romulan: main antagonist

That looks great, Borgman! Can't wait to see the rest!

Coming along nicely!

So, GalaxyBird 3 will now be shifted to a fast supplies role. The dark cones are containers (a bit like the DY class) that can be dropped at a planet for fast relief while they wait for Starfleet to come and provide a long-term solution. The aft has barely enough space for a shuttle, but hey, this is a MAKE GO FAST ship, not a shuttle transporter. Still, GalaxyBird 1 is still the fastest of the bunch to provide rapid response personel; pondering about adding that mythical "transwarp" tech they've been doing all hush-hush about over at the Corps of Engineers...

I'd say that this incarnation of the Thunderbirds was pitched to Roddenberry by Anderson, as a way to attract more kids to Star Trek proper, and with a bit more visual eye candy when compared to TAS.

Thanx!

So, Galaxybird 2 is, as you all guessed, quite a bit bigger than both craft it took its lines from. The Aquabird is larger than TB4 so this necesitated a bigger pod as well. TB4 wasn't the largest podcraft per se so I took that into consideration when settling on a scale. Galaxybird 2 now is multiple decks large; for scale, that rim around the craft is 3.3 meters high so ample room for docking ports and the like. Is outfitting the 'birds with weapons an idea?

As far as FAB1 goes: I haven't found an acceptable form factor I like.

Also: does anyone have a good resource on how to get that Supermarionation look?

I am sorry bro I do not have any insight on that. Maybe @The Lensman can help?
