Greeting gentlebeings, here's my entry at last... it's a redo of my entry for the Pike's Enterprise era contest from March 07, in this case swapping Pike in for Kirk, with a bit of a twist for the end. My original was a render of Spock & Pike from behind looking at the Guardian, this time I went for a photomanip approach.

Now this is an episode I'd pay to see. Spock... the real Spock was never a man to let things stand. Maybe Kirk broke the rules, but Spock would go back in time and rewrite them. His captain gravely injured? Wouldn't let it stand. His planet blown to hell, and he finds himself sitting in a time machine?...

...Oops. You got me started. Anyway, good promo. NBC was using that Microgramma/Eurostile font during the early '70s, by the way.

Something I just noticed from the art above. How the opening of the Guardian of Forever and the maw of the Doomsday machine have almost the same shape...
