That's cool...hopefully it will mAke sense for the story.

They should have somehow had Tobias back before Madison left...it would have been nice to have him "pay her back" for saving him....

I honestly never got fandom's fixation with Tobias. It's not that I didn't like the character, I just don't get what was so special about him that made everyone constantly wish for his return.

He was kind of a nerd, little overweight, didn't look like a movie star and was their from day 1. I see the appeal. I would like to kind of know what happened to him. That also being another thing. The mystery of not knowing what happened to him.

Who knows. He was one of many Walking Dead TV universe characters that was here today, gone tomorrow, because that was their function--some single purpose. Why some were wishing for his return is questionable, as one must ask what is he going to bring the series?

i think Tobias would kinda be like Carol...she started her series as a mousy abused wife.. no more likely to survive than he would.

My fan fic would have him meet up with ALicia and the gang with his own band (a motley crew)... and she might not remmeber him from school, but he remembers her and says out loud he wants to pay her back for what his mother did in his life... which takes much of Tobias' gang into a state of unalertness..and Tobias and a partner kill the bad gang. Tobias truly appreciates Madison saving him. He offers to let her group stay with him, or go on their own... so either he can stay on the series or leave but with option to come back.

At this point, he has become a shrewd survivor. Not the strongest, but among the smartest.

But the thing about Fear...now that TWD has jumped AGAIN, this time 5 years (or maybe 4 or even just 3)... no more connections with the main show...so anything they do essentially stays West of the Mississippi and of no consequnece to TWD. Unless they have some remarkable set up planned... this show is kinda treading water too. Tobias would at least an element of interest, at least ofr an episode or two

We have seen many different kinds of groups so why not a group of nerds. Have him and his group in that bunker were old movies are preserved for historical reasons. I saw a Youtube video of the place. It was very fortified. I guess it wouldn't be all that different from that group in the "Book of Eli" were you saw Denzel Washington working for this group trying to preserve stuff which in that case it was a Bible.

It's bad enough that we've had Morgan meet the Fear crew and now we have Dwight stumbling into them. It'd be absolutely beyond ridiculous for Tobias to run into them at this point. Of all the places to go in the country from LA, he just also happens to go to Texas (which is a big ass state) and wander into the area where Morgan, John Dorie and Alicia happen to be holed up?

Not really. It's perfectly fine tv logic. The fact that any of these people can find anybody after they go away for any distance is not realistic. With no phones and now I am guessing very few cars and trucks the fact that people don't go away and never come back or be found would actually be the norm. Heck just traversing some of the forested area's would be enough to loose people. We are talking about people who I am guessing mostly lived in city or towns and never went camping or learned tracking or any of that stuff. Half of the people who would die in this world who aren't killed by zombies or other humans would die simply from their lack of surviral skills. Not knowing what berries you can eat, how to fish etc.

The brother and sister ( what they call ) are missing as well as *spoiler code*

So they have at least 12???

Yeah, it would be beyond ridiculous. Tobias was a character who served a single-purpose. That was it. I seriously doubt Tobias--who was not among the people who had transportation out of the cities (e.g. Strand's--or any boat), faced with roads filled with abandoned cars, a minefield of neighborhoods with desperate, predatory survivors and walkers between East Los Angeles and LAX (and with each passing day, flights would no longer be available) would survive. That, and parts of southern California were bombed by the military, making the chances of his survival highly unlikely.

He would not add much to the series, and unlike Carol, he did not have the psychological weight of abuse and loss to overcome, which made her an interesting character. What is so interesting about Tobias?

FOr me... I identify with Tobias. If the apocalypse was happening when I wa she age, I would have search FIDOnet to find out what was up. I would have had the same skills he had at that time.

Hopefully I would have been able to gain the skills needed to survive. It would have been nice

Like I mentioned earlier, I think his gratefulness to Madison for saving his life would make a very good storyline, whether for an episode or many more.

As for him finding Alicia... well, hasn't Madison created a big wake of destruction wherever she went?

There WERE other survivors of the stadium right? EIther her community and/or Vultures... they would have had something to say about Madison... maybe enough for Tobias to go investigate.

other than the recent Michonnne flashback story...has ANYONE every run into anyone they knew PRE-apocalypse??? Seems the odds of NO ONE finding ANYONE seems real low. It would be about time for this one.

Someone feel free to post up a season 5 thread anytime soon...

That would still either require Tobias to follow Madison and her group into Mexico, then back to Texas. Or, bypass Mexico altogether and stumble across her (or the remains of the stadium) in Texas.

Now, I'm not saying it COULDN'T be done, but it would stretch a bit of credulity. And I guess it wouldn't make any less sense than Alicia and co. running into both Morgan AND Dwight, both making it to Texas from Virginia...

Well if they are leaving boxes of supplies and talking over radio he could simply pick up their transmissions and track them down. I don't think it would be to much of stretch for him to find them. What they are doing is bound to get noticed by groups so Tobias could simply be one of them.
