So is Morgan going to make you excited for this new season?

America is a big place, and to have 2 separate people from the Alexandria area meet up in Texas seems like a bit of a stretch. Unless Dwight somehow followed Morgan out there, but I doubt it.
In TWD's season 8 finale, Dwight leaves after reading a note from his wife that says "Honeymoon" on it. So, apparently they took their honeymoon in Texas. A bit convenient, but not really a stretch.

I am a little disappointed in the Karen David thing. I'm sure she will be fine and all but my eyes played tricks on me when I read it and I thought it said Keith David. Now that would have been way more cooler. Maybe if she can get into a 30 minutes fight with one of the other characters in a back alley because she refuses to put on shades that lets her see who is a zombie or not then things will be just as good.:)

So will they also do a time jump? At least enough for the girl to grow up a bit...

I qas is bummed that they had finally gotten in synch with TWD...now back to ground zero... And we know that Morgan has not ventured back east...certainly not to stay

Any word on when the new season is supposed to start? I noticed AMC is promoting a new show filling the 9 EST Sunday slot in April after Walking Dead's current season ends, so I'm guessing we won't get the new season of Fear until June, like the third season.

I'm sure there will be a time jump but not as big as the 5-6 year one on TWD.

So, has anyone got this season on Blu-ray? I got mine last week, and it wouldn't play. The buffer screen showed up, and it just froze. Was like that on three out of the four discs. Anyway, I returned it and got a new copy, and the same thing happened with that.

Anyone else having this problem?

EDIT: Just did some digging and turns out all the ones sent to Canada were encoded to the wrong region. Wonderful.

I have the same problem, i'm in the UK but have a multi region player, have tried the firmware, disconnecting the internet, reconnecting the internet, changing the region which gives an incompatibility warning, it still just hangs on the loading screen, for a half hour now.

I saw a review on amazon.com, some lady said she had the exact same thing as me & the other guy on the link. Even their replacement copies just froze. First time I have ever had this on any disc.

Did you get yours to work via a workaround?

it's very strange, not experienced this before from viewing thousands of discs, they must have done something with the encoding.

Did anyone think to contact the distributor? For example, when the 1966 Batman TV series box set was released on DVD/Blu Ray, some of the episodes had severe glitches or would not play. The outcry was enough that the distributor corrected the mistake and sent replacement discs in exchange for the defective discs.

TBH this seems a random problem, only seen three reports of the discs having the problem, mine included, every one else has said they play fine. I only found this thread as someone on another site posted a link when I reported the problem on a dedicated blu-ray site, did a google search for the issue and found nothing. It may be player specific or a country issue. Seems most people don't have the problem playing these.

There was already a time jump last season to bridge any gap between the two Dead shows. Add in how long it would have take Morgan to travel West and then back again. So last seasons Fear would have been ahead of where TWD ended last season.

I wonder if we’ll ever see Daniel again. After rescuing Nick from the dam explosion, he just up and disappeared without a single line of dialog from anyone either saying or asking where he went. IMO, that’s really sloppy writing for a formerly primary character who has had considerable impact on several other primary characters.

One, of the original protagonists left that Daniel would know have been reduced to two, and frankly, I grew tired of unjustified deep resentment of Strand. With Ofelia dead, his only purpose would be more of his hatred of / death wish for Strand, and I doubt that would go far in the more peace-aligned community that Morgan is trying to build. Further, after all Alicia has lost, I doubt she would (if the series played it realistically) put up with Daniel trying to renew his death wish against a man she considers her family.

Or perhaps Daniel's struggle with Strand would be a major challenge for Morgan to focus on in his new community.

I do hope what doesn't happen is that Daniel will reappear with an army of his own to be the next major antagonist. Alone and broken would be the best way to reintroduce him, IMO. He went on walkabout for a couple of years and returns listless and in need of repair. Then again, they left him back at the west coast. It would, admittedly, be unrealistic to have him show up now, all of a sudden, in Texas/Louisiana without some kind of meaningful way to know where they are currently located, either way it turns out. So... I dunno...
