Favourite Romulan episodes?

Balance of Terror obviously is amazing
Also it's not really a Romulan episode, but when the Romulans arrive and ask to join the fleet in By Inferno's Light I did have a bit of a whoop. Or a lot of a whoop. Am I the only one who whoops at Star Trek? And gasps, screams, cries... just about every over-reactive thing you can do while my family are sitting there like
*___*

I like all the TNG & DS9 Romulan episodes to be honest. Can't comment on the TOS.

I thought the whole Romulan story in the first Abrams film was a bit crap.

"Balance of Terror" and "Minefield" are among my favorites.

Mostly because they showed Romulans as a reclusive, territorial state, which I felt was their truest depiction.

It sounds like I'm very much in the minority here, but I really liked Abrams and Co.'s take on the Romulans in Star Trek '09.

I'm also a big fan of the character of Sela, so her 'second' debut in the Redemption 2-parter (I've never seen her first debut in The Mind's Eye) ranks among my favorite episodes, along with Voyager's Eye of the Needle and Enterprise's The Aenar. I would also consider Yesterday's Enterprise to be a Romulan episode even though they don't actually appear.

I don't like the Romulans at all in the New Trek movies. This was my first exposure to them and I thought they were horrible villains so I was surprised how much I liked them in TOS.

Nero and his crew are horrible villains in general. The worse in any Trek movie, probably even the worse in Trek overall. They are that bad.

It seems like the Romulan characters were made out to be perpetually angry people by this point.

And Nemesis was just as bad.

Face Of The Enemy- A pretty cool episode, with some decent dialogue.

The whole Tal Shiar /military tension thing was good viewing. Sitris was great in this episode.

I thought that Minefield depicted the Romulan as expansionistic, and not reclusive. In so far as they were claiming a star systems outside of their home system, and were willing to protect it. Something of indication of perhaps why the Earth/Romulan war was to be fought.

Balance of Terror too, they wanted out of their little box.

:)

The Defector..... Great story great acting and the open scene with the warbird chasing the scout ship is still awesome !!! Even in 7.1 sorround sound !!!!

Balance of Terror
The Defector
Face of the Enemy
Unification
Timescape

TOS
"Balance of Terror" and "Enterprise Incident"

TNG
"Unification"

DS9
"In The Pale Moonlight"

VOY
"Message in a Bottle"

I may sound like I'm just going with the flow, but "Balance of Terror" is the best Romulan episode ever....
