Favourite pizza?

The best pizza i have had is whenever we go to france or spain. No deep pan stuff the old fashioned flat thin crust.

However here we tend to most get the dominos pizzas or papa johns (i prefer these). I find the pizza hut ones too oily.

I love bbq sauce on mine with any meat but not overly keen on pepperoni. However i do sometimes love the Hawaiian pizza.

Definitely a pizza with all the vegetable goodies (especially artichoke hearts and mushrooms) as well as some pepperonis... and olives... I might have to buy a new keyboard I'm drooling so much

I like Chicken, on a Pizza. Be it cheese, tomato & chicken, all the meat including chicken, chicken is one of my favourite toppings. I once ordered a custom pizza, with 4 allotted toppings, I ordered a cheese and tomato base, and all four variations of chicken; Roast, BBQ, Tandoori and Chinese... I got Tandoori Chicken, Some Other Chickens and Pineapple. - I thought the taste of pineapple, coupled with the Tandoori Chicken; really ruined my Pizza.

A good ol' classic for 'chicken oriented pizzas' seems to be BBQ variations, all with BBQ bases.

Yeah, for some reason the combination of chicken, pineapple and barbeque sauce is majestic. Much like tomato and basil, and bacon and prawn (wtf? it works)

I'm lucky enough to work in a pizza place in my spare time and I've tried every ingredient combination imaginable

I can't get past my favourite though - salami, ground beef, chorizo sausage, bacon, olive, jalopenos, spanish onions, roasted caps, garlic, herbs and two different types of chilli

I love anchovies, and ham or pepperoni or bacon...
Seaford and pork is nice... Cheese & tomato base; Tomato, anchovy, prawn (shrimp) 'the little ones' and a pork product, like bacon, is my favourite non chicken 'gotta kill something' pizza.

Vegetarian pizzas are okay, 'I guess.'

Interesting topic, for me anyway.

I grew up on the US west coast. I don't know what it is, but "west coast pizza" is very different from anything I can typically get anywhere else. I can't say it's objectively "better", but being what I grew up with and ate for the first 25 years of my life, it holds a special appeal for me.

That having been said, I do like all different styles of pizza and different combinations of toppings depending on my mood, from all veggie to carnivore's delight.

We have two favorite places, but they don't deliver: one makes the closest thing to a "west coast pizza" that I've ever had out here, and my fav is mushroom, olive and pepperoni; the other makes a wonderful, rustic brick oven pizza, and my fav there is kalamata olive, goat cheese, baby spinach, tomato (or eggplant) and artichoke hearts.

We did stumble upon a pretty good delivery place, much the way SmoothieX did. When we moved out of downtown Boston to the "burbs", we tried several different places, but none of them really wowed up. Then, one night on a whim we tried this place that left a flier in our mailbox, and they're the best we've found. And fast. They make several good pizzas, including BBQ chicken, Buffalo chicken, and "steak bomb", but my favorite is their combination with pepperoni, mushrooms, olives, onions, green peppers and hamburger. I usually don't have to eat for 2 days after we order from there.

And finally, we actually make our own pizza more often than not, especially in the nice weather when I can grill it. Once I finally figured out the whole grilling pizza thing, we were hooked. Our favorite for that is prosciutto, sun-dried tomato, caramelized onion, goat cheese and fresh basil (and I usually put kalamata olives on half for me.) In the summer when we have fresh tomatoes from our little garden, we'll add those or substitute those for another topping - one key to grilled pizza is to keep it light.

Now I'm hungry.

Anytime any of you happen to come to Albuquerque, l will meet you at Saggio's Pizza down by the University.. Their Sicilian style pies are amazing and always made with farm fresh ingredients.. (I know because I used to work there)... I love me a spicy italian sausage/green chile pizza...

For home purposes, I usually make my own.. We have a long time local favorite here called Dions that will well you a pizza "kit".. For about $10 you get a dough ball, sauce, cheese and two toppings.. I have a pizza stone at home so it's super simple and the kids love helping...
