I always smile at the fight in the Vengeance engine room where Khan, Kirk and Scotty take on some Section 31 goons. Khan does a kick which sends his opponent flying just like a knockout blow in Street Fighter II. Gotta love action movie physics.

Whenever I watch that scene now, I keep an eye out for Scotty's fighting. Sure, he gets into trouble toward the end, but it was neat seeing him fight side by side with Kirk, which didn't happen very often in TOS or the movies.

If she went head-to-head with anyone, my money would always be on her!

She got beat up handily by a prostitute even after having attacked her first and getting two (ineffective) hits on the girl, before the girl hammered her into unconsciousness. Kira was unconscious from the girl's punches before she even hit the floor! Remember, too, the girl patronized her about it later, when, seeing an awake Kira in obvious pain, asked her if she was okay and that she shouldn't try that again.

Even though I like the idea of women being able to kick butt I'd like it to be somewhat 'realistic'. I accept that Buffy had supervampirekillingpowers but I hohum the idea of petite little girls battling and defeating huge guys. Unless those girls have muscles and work out like Shana or the woman in Alien2 or are aliens like Vulcans or Borg. I guess that Kira was always workout ready having been battle-hardened in a war. And I don't mind the Judo kicks from Martha Landon in "The Apple" or from Helen Noel.

But come on, Kira took out a Klingon after being stabbed in the side by him. That's tough. That prostitute must have gotten a lucky shot.
