No it's just the "fans" are very forgiving of those movies but they will scream to the heavens about any other movie that has plot holes because their precious fandom.
I think it should be stated that plot holes fo not automatically mean people cannot enjoy them. Just be consistent.
No that's fine you can enjoy them just people get very anxious and want to defend their favourite show or movie even if it's got the glaring plot holes
I think my answer needs to become "Yes, but I still enjoyed it." Not that I can say that about a lot of the MCU, specifically anything to do with Thanos, aside from the Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy.
The first Guardians Of The Galaxy was THE ONLY mcu movie I really did enjoy... And the very first Iron Man but the rest can burn in a fire
Terrible writing and convoluted storylines mainly. The USS Copy Paste didn't help among a certain chunk of fans either.
You place a LOT of anger onto that one element of the Picard series, huh? I mean, it's uncanny how much you focus on it.
You seem to bring it up a lot, that's all. I'm just wondering why this sticks in your craw so much. I could give 2 shits about a fleet of ships and what they are comprised of....but it seems to be a major point of contention for you. Just seeking to understand why something that is so immaterial to me is so important to "a certain chunk of fans."
Because a lot of fans like ship porn, very simple. They finally get Star Trek content that isn't a prequel like ENT, the Bad Robot films and Discovery, and they wait all season to see some modern ship designs, and when that finally comes, it's disappointing and lazily done. As @fireproof78 likes to say every four and a half minutes, mileage will vary. Just because you two aren't into something others are, doesn't make it less noteworthy or important, or make it worthy of belittling. I bring it up because the latter half of Picard was as idiotic as the latter half of Disco season 2, and the copy paste fleet was the icing on the cake, for me personally.
I have to go with the Sarek family dynamic. Aside from being an interesting character in her own right, Michael Burnham is the best thing to happen to Spock since the Genesis wave.
Thanks that's helpful insight. I like ship porn too...just not to the same extent perhaps. Certainly not enough for me to have any angst over it.
