Gotta go with Ryan Stiles. My favorite lineup was him, Colin Mochrie, Wayne Brady, and Brad Sherwood.

Nah, funniest-hands down-was Richard Simmons guest appearance.
He was a great sport and funny in his own right.
For anyone who missed it, it's on YouTube. I laughed so hard I couldn't get my breath, my sides hurt and I was crying. So I watched it again.

Stiles. His slant on things was always gold. For a guy who makes a living at being goofy, he really is a rather quick comedic wit, & it's never more noticeable than during improv

Voted for Colin, though I agree with the Ryan/Colin comments.

Wayne was the Jimmy Fallon of Whose Line; he laughed and broke character in 95% of the skits.

Colin Mochrie was consistently hilarious. He came up with the most silly and offbeat things sometimes, and cracked me up.

Ryan Stiles wasn't a favorite of mine. He tended to keep falling back on the obvious, the cheap shots, the formulas. It got boring after a while.

Ryan and Colin are pretty entertaining, especially together. But, the ultimate "Whose line" person has got to be Wayne Brady for me. He is consistantly hilarious, and the show always seems like it's lacking something when he's not around.

My favorite Ryan/Colin was this Sound Effects bit:

And it proves Colin is the funnier of the two.

Here's another good Colin/Ryan skit:

From the US show, Ryan Stiles, with Greg Proops as a close second. They've both been inspiring to me as a performer for the last 4 years I've been doing improv (what the hell, may as well throw in a plug for my improv group, Out of Order: www.outoforderimprov.com/)

That said, the US show was just a pale shadow of the UK one, and the cast repetition was a big reason why. It's a shame that the US show never featured great folks like Josie Lawrence, Tony Slattery, Mike McShane, John Sessions and Paul Merton more often (or at all).

Josie did do the US version a couple of times, and the US version did make use of a few well known US stars like Robin Williams, Whoopi Goldberg and Richard Simmons.

Yeah, I agree. There was something different about the American version that I couldn't pinpoint. I've always found the UK version funnier. They seemed looser and more relaxed. Josie Lawrence was one of my favourites from the UK version.

^^Drew Carey as the host was a misstep for the US version, IMO. He just can't handle the quick speaking that the various game descriptions demand. Clive was great on the UK version, and I LOVE that bit on one of the US shows where Drew calls Chip "Greg" (or calls Greg "Chip" or "Brad" or whatever it was ;)) then Ryan goes "Don't worry about it, Clive" to Drew.

P.S. My pick for best US-version performer is Colin by far. The man's a genius.

My favorite is when he accidentally calls Ryan by the wrong name and he goes "Better than Lewis, he's been calling me that for years" :D
