Is this something you've melded on your own, or is it available somewhere? It sounds very intriguing. My favourite version is actually the 1931 film with the 1999 soundtrack by Philip Glass.
It was on the Dracula Legacy Collection that came out back when Van Helsing was in theaters. I wasn't too impressed with it myself because the score seemed to distract from the movie. It never seemed to stop and played continueously at the same volume as other actors voices.

Did you really think so? I didn't find that at all.
The Kronos Quartet actually went on tour, performing the score live as the movie played. I wish I could have seen that.![]()

Just finished watching all four seasons of this lately
I wish they'd make a follow up either with him or a new incarnation of the legacy that does become a full Vampire this time.
The main problem is they didn't use the score like most movies do. Usually you insert music during key moments of the film, not during the WHOLE ENTIRE STINKING run of the film and at the same volume as other people are talking. That was the main problem. The actual music itself was fine. I just wish they hadn't drowned the movie with it.
I as well. Actually, off-hand the most noticeable interaction between dialogue and music I recall is the music stopping for Lugosi to say 'I am Dracula'.Well, like I said, I just didn't notice the problem you describe, i.e. the music drowning out the dialogue.
