1. The Final Reflection by John Ford. The Klingons turned out to be different in future Trek. Still a good read.
2. My Enemy, My Ally by Diane Duane. Good story involving the Romulans.
3. A stitch in Time by Andrew Robinson. The Cardassian point of view.
4. The Vanguard series Star Trek fiction set in the Kirk era but not involving Main Trek Characters.
5. The LIves of Dax by Marco Palmieri biography of the symbiont Dax in various Star Trek eras.
6. The Wounded Sky by Diane Duane a non human scientist tests out a new propulsion system on the Enterprise. The ending reminds me of "Charlotte's Web".

Rising Son by S.D. Perry

I seem to remember there being a fair amount of hate for that book after it came out, but it is one of my favourite's too.

It's probably what you call a "sleeper" hit. People weren't sure if they wanted a whole Jake novel, but the SF plot and new characters were so compelling, and the final events set up the next wave of novels so well. Yeah, it's great.

And I just realized I forgot two "Captain's Table" novels: "VOY: Fire Ship" and "NF: Once Burned".

My Top Ten Novels:

1. Fallen Heroes by Dafydd ab Hugh
2. The left Hand of Destiny - Duology by J.G. Hertzler & Jeffrey Lang
3. A Stitch in Time by Andrew J. Robinson
4. In the Name of Honor by Dayton Ward
T5. Far Beyond the Stars by Steven Barnes
T5. Hollow Men by Una McCormack
T5. Ishmael by Barbara Hambly
T5. Mission Gamma 1 : Twilight by David R. George III
T9. A time for war, a time for peace by Keith R.A. DeCandido
T9. Serpents among the Ruins by David R. George III

Crucible: McCoy - Provenance of Shadows by David R. George III takes the throne, never read a better Trek book.

Other wonderful reads:

- Metamorphosis by Jean Lorrah
- the four Khan/Gary Seven Books by Greg Cox
- Strangers from the Sky by Margaret Wonder Bonanno
- Ex Machina by Christopher L. Bennett (we need more TMP-era novels!)
- Q-Squared by Peter David
- Ishmael by Barbara Hambly
- Peter David's early TNG novels Strike Zone and A Rock and a Hard Place

A Time to Kill/A Time to Hate
If you were referring to my TNG "Time to..." duology, the second title was A Time to Heal.

A Time to Hate was the second volume of Robert Greenberger's duology, which started with A Time to Love.

Q-Squared
Immortal Coil
Mission Gamma #1: Twilight
Millennium Trilogy
My Enemy, My Ally
Captain's Table: Fire Ship

Man, this is a tough one... but just to name a few...

In fact, I just started writing a list and realized that most of the Ds9 Relaunch was on it, so I'll state that the whole thing is pretty much gold along with Millenium (especially Twilight, Lives of Dax, Cathedral, Rising Son, Avatar and A Stitch in Time), The Good That Men Do, Serpents Among the Ruins, Fallen Heroes, Greg Cox's Khan books, the New Frontier books...

Plenty more I'm forgetting but I've still yet to have my coffee. heh.

My favorites include:

Orion's Hounds
The Buried Age
Andor: Paradigm
Millenium Trilogy
The Shatnerverse's MU trilogy-Spectre, Dark Victory, and Preserver (I bought the paperbacks, so they count :D)
