Favorite STAR TREK show? --- February 2008 edition poll

Enterprise here too.

But I've liked them all to some degree... plus what's my favourite and what's best, doesn't necessarily have to mean the same thing.

Ahh Yes... Star Trek, TOS if you prefer, happens to be my favorite..I have been watching the assorted Star Trek series since 1966 and no other has captured the sense of adventure near as well. DS9 would happen to be #2 as it also had a sense of adventure in it..Enterprise had the best shot since TOS of recapturing that sense, but it lost me in it's recycled plots and liberal re-interpertation of Trek "History"...TNG just never had that sense of exploriation and adventure that I was looking for..don't get me wrong..it's still good, just not that good to me.. and Voyager was very much "Lost in Space" IMHO...

DS9, TNG, ENT, TOS, VOY. I still like em all, to one extent or another.

DS9 obviously. Since its a leap year, I was going to take a leap and vote for poor Voyager (Enterprise seems to have surpassed it in popularity) but decided not to.

Enterprise just beats out the original for me, and that's because TOS now seems dated and overacted. None of the other three (TNG, VOY, DS9) have compelled me to watch each and every episode, let alone watch repeatedly, the way ENT and TOS have.

For me it was TOS then Voy. Voy I was hooked and I'm not surprised they're not more fans here. Oh well. I kinda liked DS9 too-watched it regularly. But ENT..bleah!

Funny how the current poll results perfectly mirror my own personal preferences and viewing habits of the Trek series. Didn't know that I'm SO mainstream though.

Argh. I switch back and forth between TOS and DS9 daily. Today I chose TOS.

My personal preference:

DS9

TOS/VOY (changes daily between these two for second and third place)

ENT/TNG (also changes daily between these two for fourth and fifth place)

I'm gonna get shot for saying this, but............Voyager. I'm sorry but its what got me into Star Trek and its still my favorite even though the series has some stinkers. Tied for second place would be DS9 and Enterprise then TNG then TOS. But all of them are really good.

I don't think you should feel in the least bit bad about liking what you like.

If a show works for you, who cares what anyone else thinks? Since when are their opinions any more valid than yours?

Hey, it's a lot better than Enterprise, a show that's getting considerably more votes.

As for me, I'm a TOS-TNG-DS9 kind of guy, they're all essentially equal in my book. But if you put me up against the wall and I really, really had to choose... TNG's my pick.

The reason I was cautious was because I once gave my opinion about Voyager on another forum and lets just say it didn't turn out well.

Its not my cup of tea, but I'm a big fan of Star Trek V, so who am I to judge?
