My Led Zeppelin albums are probably gonna melt from shame, but I think Avril Lavigne is OK.
Italian men always have good taste in women. :techman:

And I never liked Led Zeppelin. To me, they sounded like cats fucking.

I assumed this was about the toaster pastries, and was going to come in here to make a joke about slutty female pop singers. Then you ruined that joke by that being what the thread is actually about. So, in that case: Brown Sugar & Cinnamon.

:guffaw: I thought exactly the same thing, and had the same plan as you. So much for being a smart ass huh?

Avril is so yummy...when she first came out I hated her with a passion and thought she butchered "Fuel" by Metallica on that MTV thing for Metallica.

Now I adore her. :adore: :)

Now I think it is actually pretty good.

Pink is the only one on that list whose songs I regularly enjoy. There is something raw and honest in her songwriting that I find compelling.

Not on the list is Christina Aguilera, whose voice I adore and who has nearly as many faces and styles as Madonna. I didn't really enjoy her last album, but I'm looking forward to her work on the Burlesque soundtrack.

I enjoyed Christina Aguilera early on but haven't so much over the past few years.

Well, they are all obviously quite easy on the eyes (well, maybe Gaga and Pink a little less so), but Avril Lavigne is definitively a cutie. Plus, she's Canadian, eh.

And I never liked Led Zeppelin. To me, they sounded like cats fucking.
Well, I'm a cat person.

Frosted Blueberry!? Is that so sort of slang???

Katy seems to be a popular choice here. :)

You were right.
I like Avril doing Avril's stuff. Her second album is very good and in parts excellent, and her first is good. The less said about the third, the better.

But she falls apart doing covers. There's a video on the intertubes of her doing Basket Case which is just cringeworthy. And that version of Fuel is rubbish.

Pink, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga are guilty pleasures of mine. Pink because she strikes me as intelligent; Katy Perry because her songs are so damn catchy; and Lady Gaga because she pisses people off on purpose, and I think it's funny that people give her exactly the reaction she's looking for.

I enjoy Lady Gaga's music the most so I voted for her. However, Katy Perry is the one I most enjoy looking at.

@cultcross Avril covering songs just doesn't work...I am listening to Basket Case now...it is quite awful and I have grown to enjoy "Fuel"...but it isn't a great song to begin with. Her doing "American Idiot" is horrible.

@kes7 P!nk is talented and mature...I just enjoy her in small doses. Lady Gaga is very talented but I cannot stand her voice...this is all on me.

Pink, Gaga and Swift.

Avril sounded/looked far too much like a product put together by executives. No idea if she's more "independent" these days.

Ke$hia trys way too hard to be edgy and comes off fake.

Rhianna's music all sounds the same to me.

Katy Perry is just not as talented as the rest. An average singer and below average writer. Her only pluses are being attractive in Betty Page retro kind of way and an eclectic fashion sense.

I don't listen to any of them but I went with Taylor Swift
she'd be in my top 5 of celebrities I'd like to go.....

But I thought this was going to be about the other Pop tarts

I picked other... bluberry or brown sugar-cinnamon.

Honestly, I hadn't heard of half of those women and the ones I do know I either despise or am completely indifferent to.

Meh, they're all attractive young ladies but I wouldn't listen to their music at gunpoint.

I used to have a bit of appreciation for music like that; after all, liquored-up girls with low self esteem shaking ass at the club used to be my bread and butter. My long-term girlfriend has fortunately rendered weekly ear-rape obsolete. ;)

Lady Gaga
Katy Perry
P!nk

In that order.
I also like Gwen Stefani (who isn't listed) and Christina Aguilera (who isn't listed).
