Favorite one-off women characters?

Cardassian makeup made Marc Alaimo sexy. It's simply very attractive, especially with the elongated necks.

Cardassian Make Up and sexy are not two things I thought I would be waking up to read on a Sunday morning so thank you. I think you are right though. A lot of the Cardassian woman on the show were good looking, especially when Kira was in the make up for Second Skin.

Great additions - forgot about Mareel, haven't rewatched "Invasive Procedures" for awhile.
Loved the army nurse in "Little Green Men-!"

Shannon Cochran as Sirella, Martok's wife. Daphne Ashbrook as Melora.
Good point - Lady Sirella was only in "You are cordially invited" - thought at first she'd been in more than one. A stereotyped, almost fairy tale character but amusing.

I had some problems with Sirella. Not the actresses's fault, but she was written to be an American 1950s stereotype without depth except being proud of her ancestors and hard on the new alien interloper.

Sirella was a character stereotype, that adversary that comes in, makes life hell, and then learns her lesson at the end of the episode. She did provide some good comic relief for Martok though.

I think I might of forgotten about the best. The leader of the stranded humans in the season 2 episode "Paradise." Great villain. Also the Skreean leader also from a season 2 ep in "Sanctuary." They thought Bajor was their destined home and Bajor wouldn't let them settle their. She was really good in the role. Someone forced into a leadership position and is burned by a friend in Kira while also having the young boy die trying to reach the planet on his own.

Yeah another vote for Natima Lang it was almways nice to see "non-evil" Cardassians, especially civilians.

I will say this; I had no freaking idea how old Marc Alaimo was until we saw him as a Bajoran. The Cardassian make-up made him look a lot closer to Kyra´s age.

Just wondered if you read that somewhere about the writers’ intentions? Seems to me the conflict between Lady Sirella and Dax is meant to emphasize Klingon pride and fierce rituals. Examples of mother /daughter-in-law culture clash could be found anywhere.

Yes, another good suggestion! "Sound of her voice" had sort of an unbelievable explanation for how the time differential somehow worked but it was an intriguing concept.

No, I didn't read about the writers' intentions. That just seems to be what's in the script. Could easily be the United States and a future mother-in-law who's in the Daughters of the American Revolution or the Mayflower Society or some such organization bullying a future daughter-in-law who's from a different ethnicity.

Another one I’d forgotten, Ty Kajada , was the Kobliad security officer in “The Passenger”--seems there's a recurring theme of a dying man’s consciousness that gets transferred to another person’s brain - !

Eris and Kilana are my favorites. I would have loved to see them in more episodes.

I also liked Larell, Morn's "wife". She looked like one of my previous girlfriends.

Vaatrik Pallra was gorgeous!

Interesting….I thought the scaly look was sort of lizardy….or spoonheads as some called them.

Haneek the Skrreean leader in “Sanctuary” was made-up to look unappealing - her red hairdo was the worst - but the actress Deborah May is beautiful…. also played the blond villain Lyris in VOY.

Kira Meru, the mother who became a comfort woman to save her family in “Wrongs darker than death or night” was mentioned several times but think she only appeared once.

Haanek was a dead ringer to a somewhat eccentric aunt (my father's sister).

Winn Adami looked exactly like my mother's old aunt.

Kilana - good point, thought I had her on my list but it was Eris, the other female Vorta. Kilana and Sisko had some sharp dialogue.

Rebecca Sullivan - Eddington’s widow

Dorian Collins, of the Red Squad. Not a likable character but named after the astronaut

Mardah, the Dabo girlfriend of Jake’s - yes, memorable - but think she appeared in more than one episode.

Mardah only appeared in "THE ABANDONED". She was mentioned at other times, though... at least once in season 2, I think it was "PLAYING GOD", and again in season 3's "FASCINATION".

You're right, just mentioned elsewhere. I get Mardah mixed up with Leanne, another one-off, they look alot alike! Jake had another one-off girlfriend, Kesha, his date in Vic's lounge.
