Mint chocolate chip is by far my favorite. I also very much like Gold Medal Ribbon from Baskin Robbins. Cake batter from Cold Stone Creamery is also really yummy. I'm not too picky about ice cream though - I will eat pretty much any flavor that doesn't have nuts in it. Around the holidays I like pumpkin ice cream milkshakes.
Mint chocolate chip has got to be my all time favourite but I tried Red Bull ice cream in Spain and it was surprising awesome and I'm not even a fan of Red Bull drinks.
Too bad I can't get to England. I wonder if he'd accept a take-out order to California?

When I was a kid, my grandmother would take me to an ice cream parlor near their apartment. I remember that they used those old-fashioned metal ice cream bowls with the paper liner, and we both always ordered mint chocolate chip.

I'm not very fond of commercial gelato. It can do in an emergency, but nothing like a cup from a local gelateria, made from fresh milk, high-quality ingredients, and the artisan's craft.
Chocolate (doesn't matter if it's ice cream, frozen yogurt or gelato) and Cookies & Cream. Strawberry is a very close third.
For me, the quality of the ice cream is more important than the flavor. I'd rather have one of my second tier flavors if it's premium ice cream than a favorite flavor from a cheap brand. I LOVE Cold Stone, for example, and would rather eat about any flavor from there than any given store brand ice cream, even if it's a favor I usually like.
