Please not that any (U)SS Enterprise is interchangable with an (I)SS Enterprise. Please note which universe you choose, especially if you choose the Mirror-Abrams original ISS Enterprise (1701). Or a standard ISS ship, or Abrams 1701. If you choose other, please explain what you chose and why! Just elaborate.

This poll is stupid. Why is Abrams ship and TOS ship the same option, although they're completely different, yet refit and A are different options although they're identical.
Refit and A are different ships. Abrams and TOS original Constitution are the same ship, just in a different universe! But of you people who select my third option (Connie), say which universe! Simple as that. So, if you want to vote, please do.

They're not the same ship. They're different sizes, look completely different and are built at different times. They only have same name and registry.

Also, there still isn't 'Enterprise class'.

On to your first point: the way I see it, if you have the same prefix (ISS, SS, USS), the same registry, the same registry prefix (NAR, NCC), and the same name, you have the same ship. The refit NCC-1701 was the same ship as original 1701 but the refit was so extensive that it earned a seperate option (because it was made in the 2270s), wheras the original Enterprise was the contemporary of the Abrams 1701 (both from 2250s).
On to your final point, there is Enterprise Class (look at FASA and Shane Johnson's piece on the E-A from "Mister Scott's Guide to the Enterprise"). Maybe based on the materials you use, there is no Enterprise Class, just a Constitution Refit, and I respect that view because there is evidence, but my viewpoint has proof too! And I stand by it.

The Prime 1701 and the Abrams 1701 (I like both) are completely different ships. All one has to do is look at the two to figure that out. They were also built about a decade apart in their respective timelines, if we're bringing non-canon materials into the discussion.

So refit get's it's own slot because it is different from original, but Abrams' Enterprise doesn't even though it is way more different?

Certainly a much bigger part for people preferring a certain ship is the look of the ship rather than the registry number.

The TMP Refit Enterprise and the E-A were, essentially, the same ship--any differences between them were minor and/or cosmetic. The TOS Enterprise and the abomination are two totally different ships. The sizes, design, commissioning date, capabilities are all different. One is a sleek and classy looking vessel whilst the other is like a flying Apple store.

My choice was for the Ambassador-Class however. She is such a great design, with a superb epsiode, and a great Captain to boot (I'm not saying Kirk or Picard aren't good as well, but there's something I really like about Garrett that just left a lasting impression). Of all the big 'capitol' ships of Trek, the Ambassador-Class is by far my favourite.

I chose the Sovereign class. Nothing quite compares to the exhilaration of watching the battle of 001 at the cinema! What an introduction to an Enterprise!

Haha!! Perfect!! I've always shuddered when I walk past those shops...

My vote was for the TOS Enterprise, not to be lumped in with the rebooted NuEnterprise- nothing in common except for a name and number- still do not know why the poll merged them together.
The TOS-E for me is still the best, most balanced design. The warp nacelle look like powerful generators instead of art deco sculptures, the hull is uncluttered with greebly and the overall design looks like a ship at full sail. The pylons look to be a weak spot but demonstrate how far engineering and materials have evolved. THe ship also has some features which have not been defined to death like the later vessels- the four (or three on screen) lighted white squares on the top of the primary hull do something important but we do not have a full understanding to the future technology to make sense of. Same goes for the three circular ports in the leading edge of the saucer- different that the other windows and there for a specific reason, we just do not know what.
The other ships are nice, but the original one will always be my favorite.

Actually, in the Prime Universe, the original Enterprise was built in 2245, a decade prior to the Abrams Enterprise.

The Enterprise A was identified as Constitution class on screen in TUC. Meanwhile in TWOK, the doors to the simulator room at the Academy indicate "Enterprise Class" here. So by your own logic, you screwed up which is which, the refit 1701 should be "Enterprise Class" while the A is Constitution class. This is all on screen, and therefore trumps whatever was written for any book or RPG.

Likewise, strict adherence to what's on screen mean the original 1701 (both Prime and Abrams versions) are "Starship Class." That is what's written on their dedication plaques.

The E-C from the TV series was a very balanced and attractive design that melded the old with the new successfully. I also like the Probert version from the original wall display.
