Favorite characters from not-quite-canon sources

I truly don't know where else to put this thread, since it pertains to "Star Trek" video games, literature, comics and fan-films. So I'm putting it here, until a mod orders me to move it somewhere specific.

Anyway, I want to know who your favorite characters are from installments of "Star Trek" that are not quite "canon" per se, but still either licensed material (books, video games, comics) or near-professional fan films online. Characters you enjoy enough that maybe you even want to imagine they "really" exist alongside your canon favorites in the "real" universe of "Star Trek."

Here's my own list for ya:

• Anastasia Targus (from the movie-game "Star Trek: Borg")
• Captain Afsarah Eden (from the "Voyager" relaunch novels)
• Lexxa Singh, Ragnar, Shree, T'Leah, and the rest of the crew of the Icarus (from Tim Russ's unofficial "Star Trek" film "Star Trek: Renegades")

Robert April from Final Frontier. Fuddy-duddy brit who wears a sweater over his uniform cos he's always chilly, and can't bear to fire the phasers so turns command over to his bestie George Kirk whenever a space battle breaks out.

Stephen Klisiewicz and Katherine Stano (TOS), Elias Vaughn (DS9), Kat Mueller (NF) and Dina Elfiki (TNG)

Yulana Oxila from Star Trek Away Team, who I chose as my command officer for every mission. Interestingly, her voice actor appeared in ST Voyager as Lyndsay Ballard. I also liked Austin Chang from ST Elite Force...I always used his player model in Holomatch games.

For the novels...Commander Vaughan & T'Ryssa Chen are favorites, albiet for different reasons.

I forgot about Elite Force!!

Alex Munroe! If you picked the female version, you got Trek's first gay relationship (in a visual medium, at least. The novels probably did it before) with Telsia Murphy. Shame they dropped the female option for the sequel.

I'm glad someone else liked it! I can still remember some of the missions because I spent so much time trying to figure them out! I can still remember some of the things they'd say if you clicked on them: "For Bajor! ..and the Federation." "We go boom now?" "Science will guide us!" "Da, tovarisch!"

Captain Mackenzie Calhoun and those great characters from Peter David's Excalibur series New Frontier.

Burgoyne , Si Cwan, and I loved the way Robin Lefler, and Liz Shelby were treated.

Vaughn from DS9. It was clever having a character who was a centenarian but thanks to medical advances was still healthy and capable. A nice hope for our own future.
