who are they and what's their relevance to the new Trek movie?:confused::confused:

In order, they're playing Deanna LaForge, Kelly Chakotay, Shelly Archer, Grace Paris, Melissa O'Brien, Annette Sisko, Tina Riker, Bonnie Tucker and Hannah Crusher. Their parts are small, but they all stop the plot to explain their canon family tree and why certain relatives are or aren't around -- 4-5 minutes each -- so that the fanboys will be happy. :)

Wow, this really is going to be a lot more like Star Wars, after all.

Thanks, StarTrek1701. I submitted my vote...:)

Cho is not my cup of tea, but maybe someone else's...;)

The title does say "Favourite Babe." Even though our opinions on Chirs Pine, Zachary Quinto, Eric Bana, Karl Urban, John Cho, and Faran Tahir come from different perspectives, I think we can both agree that none of them qualify as a "babe."

What about these?

Lucia Rijker, Darlena Tejeiro, Marlene Forte, Elizabeth Ingalls, Sabrina Morris

Kimberly Arland, Michelle Parylak, Jolene Kay, Susse Budde

who are they and what's their relevance to the new Trek movie?:confused::confused:
From IMdB:

Lucia Rijker ... Romulan CO
Darlena Tejeiro ... Flight Officer
Marlene Forte ... Chief Transporter
Elizabeth Ingalls ... Nurse
Sabrina Morris ... Ensign Slater
Kimberly Arland ... Madeline
Michelle Parylak ... Enterprise Bridge Crew Member
Jolene Kay ... Lieutenant Adams
Susse Budde ... Med Tech

You'll find more dissention on that point than you think. My wife frequently employs the word "babe" to describe men she thinks are physically attractive (and plenty of "rugged manly men" are on her list)--and she is not alone.

If I were to "rank the babes" among the tertiary characters shown two posts above -- and based strictly on those photos -- I would have to say:

1. Darlena Tejeiro
2. Michelle Parylak
3. Sabrina Morris

By the way, there are a few more "hot babe minor characters" listed on the IMDB cast list other than the ones shown.

Winona Ryder gets shafted with a unflattering candid against posed and airbrushed photos of others. No offense, the others are pretty, but generic. Here's a better candid, and why Winona gets my vote. :techman:

I've never heard of men referred to as "babes" before. And honestly, it seems weird to think someone would.

Agreed. All the other pictures were posed, some were even headshots. Hers was from a premiere shot by some photo journalist.

Winona is too adorable. Even under all that Goth/Emo-chick makeup in BEETLEJUICE twenty long years ago and then the way she looked in HEATHERS she was super cute. I dunno if its those doe eyes or the skin complexion or a combination of both. She's almost a living, breating Animei girl.

^^ I agree that Ryder was -- and still is -- a cutie...AND she gets very little respect for her acting ability because she is an easy target to "bash" due to her personal problems.

I don't want to sound like the Winna Ryger fan club here, because I'm NOT the kind of person who realy cares that much about "celebrities lives" and such. I simply like to give people a fair shake...

...People seem to forget about the good, solid, critically-acclaimed acting she did early in her career, such as her performances in Heathers, Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands, Night on Earth, Age of Innocence (Oscar nomination), Girl Interrupted, and some other films (+ a second oscar nomination).

I agree she hasn't had a good performance in a while, but I don't think it's because she can't act but rather because she doesn't give a damn about her craft anymore -- and it shows. Hopefully she cared enough in this film not to ruin her scenes with a "going through the paces" lack-luster, underachieving performance.
