In the spirit of my last thread...What are everyone's 5 fave episodes? Why? One from each series.

TOS- Plato's Stepchildren...Little known fact...The original script called for Spock to kiss Uhura. Shatner insisted it be him.

TNG- Unification...Spock...Nuff said.

DS9- The Visitor...I still cry like a baby, to this day.

VGR- Timeless...Harry was a whino, but Captain LaForge was fun to see...

ENT- E-Squared. Good "what if" episode. Great scenes between Lorien and Trip. "You were a good father." Awww
 
TOS--Devil in the Dark (This is what Trek's all about)
TNG--Measure of a Man (This is what Trek's all about)
DS9--Trouble with Tribbles II (Tremendous fun from my least fav series)
VOY--Living Witness (This is what Trek's all about)
ENT--The Andorian Incident (When I knew I'd love Ent to the end)
 
TOS - Errand of Mercy
TNG - Yesterday's Enterprise
DS9 - In the Pale Moonlight
VOY - Living Witness
ENT - Observer Effect
 
TOS - Balance of Terror
TNG - Best of Both Worlds
DS9 - In the Pale Moonlight (The Visitor is the best DS9 ep, but ITPM is my fave)
VOY - Meh... Living Witness?
ENT - blah... Twilight?

I definitely wouldn't have VOY/ENT in there if this was an overall 5.

Note that these are my favourites, and not necessarily the episodes I think are the best.

TOS - "Balance of Terror". Narrowly beats "The Doomsday Machine" for me.

TNG - "The Defector" - Again, narrowly beats "The Pegasus". Both are classic Ron Moore Romulan intrigue episodes.

DS9 - "Improbable Cause" (and "The Die is Cast" by extension). More Romulan intrigue, which I always love.

Voyager - "Blink of an Eye". Proper science fiction, though "Living Witness" comes close.

Enterprise - "Twilight".

ENT - None, I only watched 5 episodes and didn't like any of them

TNG-The Inner Light(although Ship in a Bottle was on the tip of my tongue)
DS9-The Visitor( had to answer w/out thinking-so many good eps!)
VOY-Year of Hell
ENT-In a Mirror, Darkly(although Archer should have died sooner-Bakula just can't pull of "bad")

TOS: I'm afraid it's a tie: Balance of Terror (strong story with what would become a non-stereotypical Romulan/warrior) and Journey to Babel (Spock's parents... nuff said).

TNG: Tie again: Q Who ("If you can't take a little bloody nose, maybe you oughtta go back home and crawl under your bed. It's not safe out here. It's wondrous, with treasures to satiate desires both subtle and gross; but it's not for the timid.") The Inner Light (just for the amazing, poignant ending).

DS9: Tie: Tacking into the Wind (the pace really picks up) What You Leave Behind (they sure knew how to say to goodbye to the fans!)

VOY: Tie: Scorpion (I really liked the introduction of 7 of 9) and Work Force (great use of the ensemble cast)

ENT: Tie: Similitude (touching story with an interesting moral issue) and Observer Effect (nice link to TOS and Archer is so Kirk-like)
 
TOS: "The Corbomite Maneuver"

TNG: "Yesterday's Enterprise"

DS9: "The Way of the Warrior"

VOY: "Death Wish"

ENT: "Babel One"-"United"-"The Aenar"

I freely admit my choices change everytime I cycle through each series.
 
These are definitely NOT my favorites of all time, because of this restriction of having to pick one from each series. My top ten would all be from the original series, at least.

ST: City on Edge
Next Gen: Q Who (no one ever listed this as a favorite but me until recent years.... I'm glad to see people appreciating it)

DS9: Waltz/Duet/Visitor

Voyager: Scorpion, or that one where the Dr has the breakdown that they all misinterpret as a malfunction in his program...

Ent: none. I didn't like this series.
 
ENT: In a Mirror Darkly
TOS: Mirror, Mirror
TNG: Yeserday's Enterprise
DS9: Crossover, and all other Mirror Universe episodes equally
VOY: The one with the Holodeck simulation with Chakotay leading a rebellion. Can't remember the title.
