This game, an alternate universe take on Type-Moon's wider Fate franchise, was released in Japan last year; Aksys just announced that they will be bringing it over to North America.

Waking up in a strange virtual world with no recollection of the past, the main character finds themselves forced to fight for survival in a war they do not understand for a prize beyond value; the opportunity to have one’s wish granted. With only an enigmatic Servant, mysterious Legendary Souls drawn from the whole of human history, by their side the protagonist will have to face both friends and foes in battles to the death in order to not only gain possession of a mysterious object known as the "Holy Grail", but also to find the answer to the most important question of all: "Who am I?"

The pic above shows the three Servants you have a choice of summoning; Saber, Archer and Caster. You as a player can choose a male or female persona (pun intended); since your character has a convenient dose of amnesia, he or she acts as a suitably blank canvas for the story to unfold upon.


Hopefully there will be more info from Aksys regarding their work on the conversion over the next few months or so.

Most of my interest in the game is based on the fact that this is a straight up ripoff of Persona 3/4. Complete with school setting and S-links!

I think I'm more interested in their other license though, Hakuoki, because we don't get any dating sims here, let alone a dating sim for girls.
