Fatastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindlewald - Prerelease Thread

What about future professors appearing as Hogwarts students?
- Pomona Sprout wasn't born until either 1931 or 1941 (sources differ on that)
- Fillius Flitwick wasn't born until 1958
- Minerva McGonagall wasn't born until 1935

We have little information about Aurora Sinistra, Bathsheda Babbling, or Septima Vector, but what we do know suggests that they too are too young to have been students at Hogwarts during the 1920s.

My wife has turned my ten-year old into a Potter fan. I am now so excited for this movie, because I don't have to go!

Not a fan of the Wizarding World stuff I take it?
Is the Wizarding World logo at the beginning of the trailer new? I don't remember ever seeing it before.

Nice breakdown, I have to say all the locations and costumes and what not really do look fantastic and looking at the still shots really brings that out.
Colleen Atwood did the costume design. After being around her I see why she's won 4 Oscars. Her eye for detail is amazing.

Is this the first we've heard about Nicholas Flammel making an appearance?
I'm glad that Johnny Depp actually doesn't seem to be going totally ridiculously over the top like he has in a lot of other roles.

I look forward to the PR tour in a few months as all the brave interviewers ask cast and crew to justify wife abuser Depp's appearance in the series.

Probably best not to hold my breath though.

The trailer is gorgeous and lot of fun and looks to be a great sequel to the first film. I'm still wish Depp wasn't in the film, even if he is the villain, and I still feel torn about supporting the film financially.

It was news to me, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything.

It'll certainly be an awkward one. I certainly think some interviewers will ask about it. I'm still disappointed Rowling defended him.

How much certainty is there with whole wife abuse accusation? From what I read it was one accusation from one ex-wife, and pretty much everyone else who knew him, even previous ex-wives, defended him.
I'm always a bit hesitant to believe anything coming from someone's ex without similar accusations from other people.

Beyond the simple fact that you should always believe the victims, Amber Heard recorded an iPhone video prior to their divorce where she hid the phone in their home. While the video didn't show any direct violence, it clearly showed Depp throwing things across the room (I don't remember if any of the objects hit her, but I don't think so) and clearly demonstrated his explosive temper and emotional abuse. The video ended with Depp angrily discovering the phone.

Edit: Here's the video and I recall things a bit incorrectly but it's still bad:

I don't think Depp's actions came up last year when he did POTC 5.

It is odd though, that Depp and Heard are presently apart of big franchise movies at the same studio. WB with DC and Wizarding World.

They definitely did because I had a very bitter taste in mouth regarding the idea of seeing the film because of Depp's actions and I know I wasn't the only person to express that feeling.

Wow, I'd never seen that before, that is definitely bad. I'd don't know if I'd say it's enough to make me not want to see this, but it definitely does make her story a lot more believable.

Well, I meant on the press tour and during Q&As.

I don't recall any interviewer going there last year.
