"Faster than the eye could follow!"

Way back in 1972 I saw a OLD 40s/50s B/W movie with a british cast that was in the horror genre where the monster/villain fled the scene of some crime and afterward one bystander proclaims,

"He ran faster than the eye could follow!".

Total long shot, but does this ring a bell with anyone?

Do you remember what kind of monster and/or villain it was? That would help.

Well it was in human form. Some kind of 'ghoul' or zombie or what not.

But it was of those 'so bad it's funny movies' that my buddy & I nearly died laughing at. Or course we were 12 and it was 3am and it's likely that we were a little punch drunk.
For days we just kept saying.......

"It moved faster than the eye could follow!"....with a strong cockney accent.
