Maybe their anatomy has changed through evolution.Cats are obligate carnivores. Even more than dogs--which are more omnivorous, though not so much as bears and humans--a cat's anatomy is geared toward the capture, killing, ingestion and digestion of animals.
Why?Well if Caitians are the least bit like any other feline (and why wouldn't they be?), vegetarianism would be very unhealthy diet for them.
Do we even need that excuse? They're felinoids, emphasis on the 'oid' here - cat-like, not actual cats. They're also humanoids, and there are primates who can survive quite well without eating meat, otherwise Hinduism would never have catched on. One could easily say that their vegetarian inclination in diet comes from the humanoid part of the equation.^ But couldn't evolution have changed their anatomy so that they are no longer dependent on a meat diet?
