Farewell to the Worm

Koinek

Vice Admiral
Admiral
Today, on account of his long unexplained absense, da Woim lost his position on the staff. Woimy served this forum from September 2000 till today. That's a little more than 4 years that he put in towards this board.

He will be missed.

:(

Thanks for everything you've done for the forum over the years, woimy. You were a great presence, and I loved serving with you way back when. Best of luck. :)

*goes off to watch "The Thaw" in your honour*

Out of curiosity, how long has he been mysteriously absent? I hope he comes back. Woimy you crack me up!

He has been MIA (Missing In Action) since that last hurricane (Frances?) hitted Florida a few months back. Since then, no one had heard from him, thus no knows what has happened to him.

That's scary. I hope he's alright.

I hope he is OK too. It is not like him to be away for long.

If you're reading this, know that we still love ya! And hope all is well.

Funnily enough, I was only thinking about our dear Woimy yesterday and hoping that he was okay and just computerless after the hurricane rather than something more serious.

I miss ya, Woimy! You make me laff! :)

Oh my. That's very frightening. We miss you!

Holy Crap!

I can't imagine this forum without da woim. Who will fill the void of retarded sexuality and alcohol-fueled rambling he leaves behind?

Seriously, wherever you are, you know your pal Digits always has your back. You were my partner for a year, the wind beneath my wings, the Robin to my Batman ;). You're a great guy, and I'll always remember our time here with fondness.

I hope and pray that you're okay.

I'm sure the internet service down there is still a mess. That is more than likely the reason. Either that or his computer was somehow damaged by flooding or what have you. He will be back, some day.

I hope that he is well; I to live in Florida,We were hit very bad. Some places are still in shambles. There are many still living in tents and will be for a long time.Entire mobile home communities gone.Fallen trees all over the place. They will be picking up for a long time to come.
I am sure that he will be back in time.I wish him the best.

So what is going on? I remember when Da Woim posted a lot when I was here earlier this year. (Before I decided to leave for 5 months)

So long Woim. You and I never really talked, but thanks for your service to the board.

He was a man of great humour, intelligence, wit and friendly nature. He made a great contribution to this forum and the board in general. He will certainly be missed :(

da Woim...you were the first mod I ever got to know on the board when I was a baby poster.

I always enjoyed your posts - here in the VOY forum, but also in DS9 and in the BR.

You are a fantastic writer, a great mod, and a man of exceptional taste. You always tried to be fair and forthright with people, and I will miss you very much!

I hope everything is okay.....and that some day, you will return!

Until then...take care....and GO BRAVES[/b]!!!!! ;)

One of my college buddies was surfing the site while I was in the room and he came across this thread.

da Woim was quite possibly my favorite TrekBBS moderator (sorry Koinek... hey?! Is that the Admiral I see green?! About damned time...). I'll never forget the time he organized that "Voyager Forumn Picnic". He brought the burgers, if I'm not mistaken. Sorry, Old man... you'll be missed, but definatly not forgotten.
