Hello, I wanted to share a fic I have been working on that is really fun at the moment. And I think peoplle might actuallylike it, since I put a lot of details into the worldbuilding and I have tried to stay somewhat in the cannon, to include a lot of science and technical elements.
The plot is essentially:
9 years after the return of Voyager, Will Riker finds himself on the Academy-Science-Exploration-Ship "Horizon", that hosts students for three-month "exchange semesters" (what we on earth would call it prob.). Janeway is the captain. Both have a somewhat complicated past, with each other and in the thirty years they havent seen each other. There are many side characters there who get their own plot and it is quite complex, in a way.
The Horizon sets out to explore the former DMZ (demilitarized zone) under cardassian occupation. Different professors (most of them fictional) do some research on the planets. It will be quite fun.
Janeway has a son of nine years of age.
William Riker tries to become Janeway's partner.
In "my" universe, both separated from Deanna and Chakotay respectively.
The fic is accessible on Ao3 but I am still working on it (incomplete) but would be evry glad for some advice, feedback, discuss the plot, etc.
I am making some fanart as well, for fun.
I upload a chapter every 2-5 days.
