Agreed about "Free Enterprise". Excellent movie. "Free Enterprise 2: The Wrath of Shatner" is still reportedly in production right now. Shatner spoke about it a couple of months ago.

Is FREE ENTERPRISE 2 actually in production? Shatner spoke about it over the summer as if it was imminent, but for something that is supposed to either be filming or nearing the filming stage, word has been awfully quiet online.

I believe he said something about it being in pre-production back in the summer time and that it was still going forward. I've not read any further updates on it either. I hope it doesn't stall.

I heard the money went away and so its now pretty much dead. That's the reason they killed their comic-con panel like a week before it was supposed to happen.

Really? The anti-Trek thing was part of the cliche of being a Star Wars, same with the parody of the Trekkies being anti-Star Wars. I'm surprised that people were bothered with it. I thought it was hilarious.

Ditto - they nailed the accepted stereotypes of BOTH fandoms pretty well, and overall, lampooned both really well.

I loved te scene where the ILM Ranch Guard was ready to send them to prison for years, and in the middle of the diatribe gets a call from George Lucas and then says:

"Mr. Lucus is impressed with your dedication to your friiend in breaking in and attempting to view the film, and says I am too... so I am."

I highly enjoyed this movie. I think most of us have at least one friend in fandom that we can see in one of the characters, if not a little bit of ourselves. It's not as pitch-perfect as Galaxy Quest, but it's pretty stinkin' close.

My best friend turned to me when we watched this and said you're so Windows dude but in a combined Star Wars/Star Trek sense lol.
