Fan Collective: Worst of Trek

The entirety of "Enterprise"

Exactly. Even Spock's Brain, as bad as it was, never approached the horribleness that was Enterprise. Its "best" episodes were still worse than Way to Eden.

ENT certainly had good or even great episodes that were infinitely more entertaining and better written than Way to Eden or Spock's Brain--episodes such as Azati Prime, Damage, Twilight, The Council, Countdown, The Forge or The Observer Effect.

Given a choice, I would pick ENT over TOS any day personally

ENT and TOS are the only ones I've spent money on.

Profit and Loss

Surely you mean Profit and Lace right? I always thought Profit and Loss was pretty good as far as Quark episodes go.
I'm currently watching every weekday DS9 from the first episode (on the Virgin 1 TV station here in the UK) and I have to admit, the Ferengi comedy episodes don't piss me off half as much as all the Klingon-centred filler episodes from season 4 onwards. :scream:

Everyone remembers the really shitty Ferengi episodes the most because they were beyond bad. But stuff like "The Magnificent Ferengi" and "Little Green Men" is pretty good. The highs are higher than the DS9 Klingon episodes but the lows are about the worst that Trek can get.

'The Magnificent Ferengi' and 'Little Green Men' are two of my favourite DS9 comedy episodes ever, which is odd, because normally I find the Ferengi episodes truly horrid. When DS9 was good, it was the best, but when it was bad; my God, it could be down there with the very worst of Trek. 'Move Along Home', anyone? 'The Muse'?

TOS should dominate this list. Not that it's worse than the other shows-- far from it. It's just that bad TOS episodes are so much more fun to watch. Who doesn't crack-up when the infamous "Brain and brain! What is brain!?" line rolls around, or when the fat lawyer materializes in his space mumu?

I agree with this. The bad TOS episodes are bad in a good way. They are at least fun to watch, and to laugh at. 'And The Children Will Lead' is one of the 'best' terrible Trek episodes there are!

When TNG, DS9, VOY, or ENT are bad, they are just bad. Not even in a good way.

Just release a Lwaxana Troi boxset and have done with it. ;)
Hahaha, yea i thought it was just me that skips over the Lwaxana Troi ep's when i'm having another TNG marathon screening.
Personally, I've always kind of liked Half A Life and The Forsaken... :)

Any TNG episode which in any way centers around the character of Troi has me reaching for the remote. Also any episode featuring Alexander.

Not just you guys, either.

Whew, those episodes suck!

Gee, there I was thinking I was the only fan that HATED Lwaxanna Troi and nearly all her episodes! Boy, was I ever wrong!

I thought the first episode with her was very good. But they ran that concept into the ground to the point that each time she appeared, I turned off the T.V.

I quite enjoy "The Way to Eden". But try explaining why you like TOS so much when the only episode your father ever seems to catch, when it's on TV, is "The Alternative Factor" or "Plato's Stepchildren". Ick.

TNG: "Code of Honor" and "Emergence" seemed like backward steps. And "Shades of Gray", which coulda been much better if they'd found some unused clips, such as Wesley's birthday party, which had been filmed for an episode but cut for time.

DS9: "Profit and Lace", if that's the one with crossdressing Quark.

VOY: numerous Season One episodes with duplicate Voyagers or quirky time lags. There seemed to be way too many in a row.

ENT: Precious Cargo.

Wow, so am I the only who actually like Lwaxana Troi? She's not my favorite character or anything, but I've alwasy found her fairly amusing.
