Fan Collective Mirror Universe??

^With only one or two exceptions, that is EXACTLY the kind of Dominion War set I'd love to see. Nice list, and I like how you go back as far as the end of season 2 (The Jem'hadar). It was pretty scary the way the Dominion rammed their vessel into that Galaxy class ship at the end of the episode--you knew these guys weren't playing around.

Thank You. ;) You can't have a Dominion set without "the Jem'hadar." That was the first episode that dealt with the dominion above the ocasional mention from an alien race. I thought about Improbable Cause/The Die is Cast, but that seemed to be more about Garak and Odo with the Dominion only a part time focus.

Is that how they've done them all? Surely the Borg one for instance, the episodes pretty much picked themselves.

Doing a little digging, it looks as though it'll be tagged as an 'alternative realities' fan collective.

The Borg episodes were voted on. There were a number of other Borg episodes on VOY that could have been included.

I think the next set should be the dominion. I know it's DS9 based, but there are so many you could choose from.My line up would look like this:

The Jem'adar
The Search 1 and 2
The Abandoned
The Adversary
Hypocratic Oath
Broken Link
The Ship
In purgatory's Shadow
By Internal Light
Call To arms
A Time to Stand
Rocks and Shoels
Behind the Lines
Favor the Bold
Sacrifice of Angels
In the Pale Moonlight
Tears of the Prophets
The Siege of Ar-558
Strange Bedfellows
The Changing Face of Evil
When it Rains
Tacking into the Wind
The Dogs of War
What You Leave Behind
I would get that, although I would through in Sons and Daughters, and Penumbra and 'Til Death Do Us Par, simply so we would have those complete story arcs. The only other issue I have with it would be the fact that it would be almost as expensive as a season set. But on the other hand it would be cool to be able to get just just those eps without having to get the whole series.

Quite surprised by that. Given that they had 14 episodes to play around with, the likes of;

Regeneration
Q-Who?
The Best of Both Worlds (I & II)
I Borg
Descent (I & II)
Scorpion (I & II)
Drone
Dark Frontier (90 mins)
Unimatrix Zero (I & II)
Endgame (90 mins)

Would all seem to be essential choices.

I think, the only other episode that could be included would be Unity, but even then, I don't really see which of the above episodes could have been dispensed with.

Interesting though. Wonder what other sets they could do? Preferably series-spanning themes, which is why I can't see them doing the Dominion set as requested above. Missing out one (or even two) series may be acceptable (The Q set), but the Dominion war is pretty exclusive to DS9. I'm surprised that they didn't include Carbon Creek on the Time Travel set, there didn't end up being any ENT episodes on the set. Wonder if they'll include Carpenter Street on the alternate realities set?

Can see them doing a Maquis one though, that would cover TNG, DS9 and VOY.

I don't know about ktanner3, but I wasn't saying that I want it as a part of the Fan Collective serie, I just think it would be cool if they did it.

They could do it as a 2-volume set given the number of potential episodes in any Dominion arc.

Given that this is Paramount we're talking about, who never pass up a chance to milk more money out of the fans, I'd say you'll probably get a release of some description, probably not as part of the fan collective sets, but a release nonetheless.

To be honest, I'm not pleased with the fan collective sets because they double and triple dip and lots of the episodes picked don't belong in their respective sets. The Borg one was good, but the rest pretty much stink. Especially that Klingon one.

I say just release themed sets and let someone that knows how to do it do the picking.

Have to agree about the double/triple dipping. They should never have allowed that to happen. Endgame is a classic example. It's on the Borg set, and then again on the Time Travel one. Why? Surely there were plenty more time travel episodes to choose. There's nothing at all from ENT on there, hello? Carbon Creek? :rolleyes:

Carbon Creek was hardly a time travel episode. It was more like a flashback story. If you want time travel, you'd want eps like Carpenter Street, or E2, or the Storm Front I'm not saying that I didn't like Carbon Creek, it just wouldn't fit.

Haven't seen either Carbon Creek or Carpenter Street in some time, got them the wrong way around. Still odd though that with so many candidates ENT ended up with no representation on the set. Personally, I think TNG was over-represented with 5 episodes on there. I'd have dropped Cause & Effect and replaced it with something from ENT myself.

10 episodes were picked. Just because the fans chose 2 parters/double length episodes doesn't change the fact that in the poll episodes were presented as whole and the top 10 were chosen. Also, there were 18 Borg episodes:

* "Q Who"
* "The Best of Both Worlds"
* "I, Borg"
* "Descent"

* "Unity"
* "Scorpion"
* "The Raven"
* "Hope and Fear"
* "Drone"
* "Dark Frontier"
* "Collective"
* "Child's Play"
* "Unimatrix Zero"
* "Imperfection"
* "Shattered"
* "Q2"
* "Endgame"

* "Regeneration"

Agreed. These sets would have been much better if an editor had selected episodes that made sense for the theme, instead of fans choosing episodes they happened to like that touched on the theme in question

Re: the Borg episodes, personally, I'd have probably dropped Drone and gone with The Raven. Shame that one didn't make it, it's a very good episode (although to be fair, so is Drone, but The Raven would make more sense in terms of providing an ongoing narrative across the Voyager episodes).
