Oh, gosh, they film a lot of TV and movies in Baltimore, and more specifically, in my neighborhood, so I've
seen many, many celebrities. And I worked on political campaigns for several years, so I've met most of our state congress critters, a couple of Mayors and a Governor or two. I wouldn't count any of them, though.
I've hung out in more extended terms to a handful of people, including off the top of my head, Johns Waters (kind of hard to avoid the guy, honestly), Andre Royo (Bubbles from The Wire, who used to hang out at my local bar), Wallace Shawn (Vicini from Princess Bride, who used to come into a restaurant where I worked in college), Allen Ginsburg (with whom I had a good chat after a reading in college), and Matt Porterfield (director of Hamilton and
Putty Hill - I know you don't know who he is, but you should).
The only "celebrity" I would say I "know" is my cousin, who has been in a ton of things, currently Big Love. Most around here would recognize him primarily from his guest shots on Joss Whedon's various shows, I guess.
