Family Memories Involving TOS?

I vaguely remember watching parts of TOS with my dad as a 6-year-old just before I went to bed. He was the one that really got me into it, though I don't really remember a whole lot about what drew me in, but I did like "The guy with the pointy ears". I can also remember renting the movies and sitting as a family in the living room with giant bowls of popcorn while we enjoyed the flick.

I remember sitting in the living room, watching TOS with my parents and sister on a 13 inch black and white TV. There was always clam dip and Bugles involved. The one that sticks in my mind the most is "The Balance of Terror", I still love that episode the most! I'm glad we had purchased a color TV before the premier of TNG! :bolian:

I was born in 1970 so I missed TOS' first run, but I remember watching the reruns with my mom when I was nine. This was Christmas 1979 and TMP had just been released. I didn't knowit had been a series before I was born, and was surprised.

My mom told me that I used to watch TAS in 1973 when it was new. She told me how she used to laugh because I would point at the TV and say "Spock!" whenever he would come on the screen. TOS was also rerun that year too, and when Spock would appear I would do the same thing, but I don't remember either of those incidents.
