Family Guy: Stewie Griffin IS Gay

Yeah, Stewie could swing either way.

I can see the dialogue exchange now:

Stewie sitting on a playground swing. Brian walks over.

Stewie: "Oh, hey dog -- what'cha doin'? Workin' on that novel?"

Brian: "Bite me. What are you doing that's so important?"

Stewie: "Just a swingin' on the ol' kiddy swing, Bri'."

Brian: "So ... so you love swinging?"

Stewie: "Oh god, yes."

Brian: "Ever try other swings?"

Stewie: "You know, I find I like a littloe of both. But the pole is my favorite."

Brian: "Ah huh. So, you're a swinger?"

Stewie: "Yeah. Why do you ask?"

Brian: "No reason."

Alter the beginning slightly and this bit could also play on Are You Being Served? between Mr. Humphries and another member of the Grace Bros. staff.

Stewie, like Mr. Humphries, is probably a bisexual with stronger gay leanings. Okay, I've been watching far too many reruns of AYBS lately.

It's a cartoon series with all the linearity and consistancy of a bag of crushed potato chips.

Does it matter?

Then there was the thing with Brian's kid.

That was one of the few times in comedy where I was vaguely ill-at-ease.

^ It left a lot of people ill at ease. I remember there was a big outcry from the religious community over that episode.

Interestingly though that was the episode that was sent to the Academy. This year Family Guy's nominated for Best Comedy.

I think the funniest aspect of Family to me is how they managed to turn an aging pedophile into a semi-beloved character.

This is sort of like the moment in an old FG episode when Brian bares his soul to Peter about being madly in love with a woman, and then Peter just looks at him, shocked, and exclaims "Oh my god! You can TALK!!!" and there's a very long silence before Brian just leaves.

You know what? The horrible FG episodes from the last season were so bad and repulsive, that aside from simply not watching the show anymore, it's even amde me hate watching re-runs of the classic episodes. That's pretty fucking bad right there.

ROTFL! I *love* that one.

Peter's such an idiot.

I think McFarlane's wrong. Yeah, he's the creator and voice of Stewie but it's obvious Stewie is at the very least a bisexual. Or maybe just a multisexual. He's attracted to almost anything as was pointed out (male, female, canine, stuffed animals).

While he's obviously a genius he's also a confused human being with regards to his sexuality. It's Family Guy and yet the complexity behind Stewie is actually rather astounding. Not even his creator truly knows (regardless of what he says).
