Family Guy character killed off (spoilers)

The writing staff is so lazy they have PETER telling Lois what an obnoxious voice she has.

Isn't that reference like ten years ago?

ETA: Nevermind, it was apparently from Something, Something, Something Dark Side (which explains why I remember it, because it actually would have been a Family Guy episode I watched). Although is he making fun of Lois's voice or Princess Leah's voice?

The show's sputtering so much that I'm not sure killing a worthless character would make much of a change. That being said, there's an interesting quote recently from Seth McFarlane about how he expected people to be sick of the show by now and is disappointed that there are so many that don't want it canceled. Maybe he just wants to kill off those who have any interest in it.
Maybe, he's always struck me as a person who has little more then contempt for his audience.

I pretty much stopped watching the show after "Not All Dogs Go to Heaven." But from what I have seen, the show really tanked in quality after the relaunch.

Fox will never cancel Family Guy again because even as the ratings have fallen it's still highly rated and has syndication deals.

MacFarlane has admitted he never thought the show would go on for as long as it has. I think they should go all out and have Stewie slide into another universe to find Brian and then sped a whole season looking for home. It's a cartoon, they need to do more crazy shit and less stupid random shit.

How long did it take him to grow back hair?

FOX just leaped over the last 3 month's of Brian's life, because he was too ugly.

We are awful.

Weird, I thought they were going to have the other dog for 6 episodes, so what's this, two-three episodes and they bring him back?

Maybe they should do a Search for Brian special.

They should bring Cleveland back too. His show sucked but when he left the dynamic with Peter, Quagmire and Joe wasn't the same.

I just assumed at some point the family would go to a pet store or shelter and discover And adopt an identical dog.

And this week, Peter and Quagmire become pop stars, Upon returning home, Peter commits suicide on his tour bus. I've no doubt that he'll be alive next week, as if nothing has happened. Such is the nature of the cartoon universe.

And as anyone who's watched Family Guy for a significant amount of time knows, the show features one-off gags but also has some ongoing storylines. I'm going to go out on a crazy limb and suggest that if Brian's death isn't a permanent development then it's at least going to be a multi-episode arc.
