Fallout: The Television Series

Drugged up Lucy was an absolute blast. I love Ella Purnell.

Glad to see Maximus wave bye bye to the Commonwealth. As others have said hopefully he'll join up with Lucy and Coop again.

I too fear for Woody, but given Chet's discovery could a vault revolution (a re-vault if you will) be on the cards?

Apparently The strip mall and parking lot they filmed the fight with the Ghouls is the same strip mall they used in Captain Marvel. You know where she crashes into the Blockbuster.

Interestingt yourself in the middle of the situation, seed chaos and dissent
Season 1 was shot on the East Coast, in New Jersey I think.

S2 was filmed in California, wasn't it?
If the Wikipedia article about the show is accurate, season one was filmed in New Jersey, Utah, New York and Namibia. Season moved filming to Los Angeles and Toronto.

Oh OK. I had thought all of the Marvel movies were filmed in Atlanta, so I assumed if they used the same location on Fallout, it must have too.

I think Jessica Clemons from New Rockstars said they filmed it in her neighborhood and she couldn't get to the IHop or Wells Fargo,

They're not all there, some are made in England and some are made in parts of Cleveland and NYC iirc.

And in fact, based on local news (I live in Atlanta) Marvel has completely exited from using Atlanta as a production location as of at least a year ago. Which has had an outsized adverse effect on our local production community (and, to some extent, the local economy generally). When Marvel came in and provided steady business and other productions followed suit, there was essentially a “gold rush” mentality where everybody and their brother was opening a studio or production facility. Now that that business has suddenly dried up, there are a lot of studio/production closures, auctions of studio assets, etc.

I noticed for a while it seemed like everything was filmed in Atlanta, but now everybody seems to be back to California and Canada.

Weird, I thought what really started Georgia as a viable filming location was the Walking Dead series and that's why Disney moved there as a cheaper alternative to filming in NYC.

I wonder why?
It’s mainly economics. Marvel moved all of its productions over to the UK because they got better tax benefits and other incentives; geographic areas are constantly competing to outdo each other with incentives to attract production.

If the reference was meant to imply that had something to do with politics, it really didn’t. Remember, when Georgia passed its strict abortion laws and various other right leaning legislation, Marvel and Disney grumbled – but they stayed for years afterwards (claiming that they “didn’t want to punish the state and its economy for what its legislators did“). The same way they backed down when Governor DeSantis in Florida challenged them for their political views. At the end of the day, these companies have a mission to make money and political considerations always take a backseat when push comes to shove.

Marvel moved to the UK because they could make more profitable movies in the UK than in Georgia, and when there is another place that allows them to make movies more profitably then they can in the UK, they will move there. That’s pretty much the bottom line.

I don't know which ones are available for modern consoles, but I looked last week and 3, 4, New Vegas, and 76 are all available on the Microsoft store for PCs.
