Fallout 3-Ants!

I received a couple games as an early Christmas present. The Force Unleashed and Fallout 3. So I'm playing Fallout 3 and I leave the Vault and wander around this little town called Springvale(I think). I find a school there and run into raiders. So I plug them all, brutally. Then I find a hole they were digging.

The hole contains a bunch of ants which I also execute with the efficiency of a terminator. I reach this large chamber with eggs and then I am stuck. I try jumping. I can't belly crawl into these little openings. I try grenades. I don't see another way. I am close to just heading to Megaton, but want to get through. I just don't see how. The passage with the fridge with eggs in it seems to be the way the map indicates, but I cannot pass. So a little help from the video game gods would be nice. There must be a game fanatic or two on here.

I've never seen that in the game... as for Megaton, you can just walk to it from the vault by following the solid green arrow. You can't miss it as it's this giant enclosed space with steel sheets used for walls... the entrance itself is protected by a sniper up top and a robot down below.

I just moved on. I'll figure the ants out later. I'm up by Arefu or whatever it is called. The Bloodties or bloodsomething or other mission. The lady in the bar in Megaton sends you. I also went to the supermarket and found the laser gun. I love the critical with the laser. I zapped off this chicks head and I turned a guy to dust.
