Uhh... I'm trying to figure out how to watch the new season of Dexter. I don't have cable (and even when I did, I never had Showtime) and my friends who used to host weekly Dexter viewings have also dropped their cable. I feel like we need to have a group discussion about it so that we can all find a way to get our fix.

That's pretty much the only thing that concerns me for the fall. Caprica won't be back until January. Friday Night Light's final season won't be available to non-DirecTV customers until 2011, as well. True Blood is a summer series. That's about all I am watching currently.

Other than the stuff I usually watch (Glee, Survivor, the Amazing Race), nothing really stands out. Maybe The Event and No Ordinary Family, but other than that, I'll just stick with what I currently watch and sports (Sunday Night Football included).

I'm eager to check out Terriers and Boardwalk Empire. Otherwise I'm sticking with NCIS, House and my beloved Fringe.

I'm looking forward to House, The Office and Glee.

It'll be interesting to see how the whole Huddy thing goes and the fall out when it crash and burns (which it will). Will Wilson even WANT to pick up the pieces this time?

I'm also looking forward to seeing how this season of the Office unfolds. We all know Steve Carrel's leaving after this season, so I get the feeling Michael Scott's exit from Dunder Mifflin (excuse me...Sabre) will either be glorious (like his first time quitting) or excruciatingly uncomfortable. Of course we'll have to wait until May for that. What happens in the mean time will likely be as dull as the last few seasons have been outside of the wedding and baby's birth.

As for Glee...new season, new songs...new characters? Who knows. I'm just looking forward to seeing more Sue and Shue confrontations and whether Will can ever work it out with Emma, especially now that he's officially divorced.

Lastly, I dunno if I can really say I'm looking forward to it but I will likely watch Supernatural but I'm not gonna necessarily make it appointment TV anymore. The move to Friday is both good and bad, it won't interfere with the Office any more but I'm also more likely to be traveling or out on Fridays. I'm not as excited as I used to be about the show, really. I've come to realize I'm not so happy with the way the plot went the last two seasons and the changes they've made in the characters. I'm sick of all this angels and demons stuff and from what I've heard the writers are going back to the original monster of the week format, at least in a manner. Maybe it'll be better but it's not gonna fix the fact that I'm unhappy about what they've done to my favorite character. They gave Dean the ending Sam deserves and are making Sam out to be something he's not (or wasn't at the beginning of the show, the character I really DID like) and it bothers me. I've also come to realize, in a way, that I don't know if I like the premise of the show at all. I like the brothers road tripping aspect (which has been lacking since about the 4th season really), but the whole choosing to put yourself in the danger week in and out as being 'heroic' just doesn't do it for me anymore. Besides...how much more heroic can they get after the end of last season? Season 6 will likely be a let down, but hopefully it's the last season anyway and I can hang on the first half of the series as my favorite.

This will be handy for later refence...

Thursday, Sept. 16
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (FX), 10 p.m.

Monday, Sept. 20
Chuck (NBC), 8 p.m. (will watch on Hulu)
House (Fox), 8 p.m.

Thursday, Sept. 23
The Big Bang Theory (CBS), 8 p.m.
Bones (Fox), 8 p.m. (Hulu)
Community (NBC), 8 p.m. (Hulu)
30 Rock (NBC), 8:30 p.m.

Sunday, Sept. 26
Eastbound & Down (HBO), 10:30 p.m.

Nothing really sticks out for me on that list, which is a shame. I'm usually excited about seeing what's up for the new season.

House and Smallville. Yep, I think that's the only two TV series I'll be watching this season. I'll check out the new show coming up with Jim Belishi and Jerr O'Connel in it, but if that shoe doesn't interest me or stick around, yep. House and Smallville will be all I watch this year.

The only thing I'll be watching is Smallville, Supernatural & The Vampire Diaries...I am curious about Hellcats though.

Wouldn't mind checking out No Ordinary Family.

You know, I'm always telling people the only reason it seems like I'm into sci-fi television almost exclusively is because it seems the most frequently thought-provoking and most likely to provide characterization and serialization I'm impressed with. But then I look at these lists, and I realize I'll be giving next to none of these shows a glance. So maybe I need to start facing the startling realization that I might have a serious bias.

I don't really like detective shows, although I've tuned into the occasional CSI or NCIS or L&O and not hated it. They've never given me much compulsion to tune in next week though... like, ever.

I don't do sitcoms, even though if an episode of one of a very particular sort is on at a friend's house, I might laugh once, twice or at most three times while half-watching. Big Bang Theory seems like the only one to pull a thrice on me, but it still doesn't get me revved to start watching on my own. Those shows are all so damn formulaic.

Right now, the only shows I care to keep up with are Caprica and, to a sadly lesser extent, Stargate Universe. (Big time, long-time fan of the franchise and member of GateWorld for going on six years, but the drama is so utterly forced most of the time.) It reminds me that not having cable doesn't bother me like it used to. It really doesn't.

I have seen a bit of Dexter and will say that show is well-executed.

Currently:
True Blood
Degrassi

This Fall:
Dexter
House
Glee
The Office
The Vampire Diaries
The Big Bang Theory
Family Guy (I wish I had the strength to give up on this awful show that hasn't been "good" in four seasons now)
American Dad

Spring Additions:
Caprica

I'll be sticking with House and The Office, and catching Always Sunny when I think of it. Otherwise the only new show I'm adding is The Event, which sounds pretty interesting and could be the new big thing. Oh and I'll catch Dexter any way I can. No Lost and no 24 makes this season a weird one.

I got bored this summer and checked out some shows on DVD...

So now this is my lineup:

Castle
Leverage
White Collar
Burn Notice
Stargate Universe
Smallville
Supernatural
V
Dexter
True Blood
Sanctuary
Eureka
Haven
The Office
Fringe
