Fall TV premiere dates

One last premiere date to announce:

Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Friday, September 16, 8 p.m, The Cartoon Network.

okay thanks for that another new show to watch. I just hope it's better than deadwood. I can't wait.

Well it depends on why you didn't like Deadwood. HoW will definitely have less swearing, but the swearing on Deadwood was wonderfully creative and even poetic at times. HoW will probably be more focused, since the main character has a vengeance plotline and the premise literally keeps the action moving forward as the railroad is built.

I love Fall premieres. It's like receiving new books to read.

I love fall premieres when the lineup doesn't suck. :D Last season was depressing. This year looks much better.

the only bad thing is V wont return. SO I gues were all mindless sex slaves to the aliens in that universe. the main problem I had with deadwood was the constent swearing and no real plot or story after the first season.

Holy crap! I had no idea new Cops was still being made....

There will never be a shortage of drunks, crackheads and/or petty criminals willing to sign a release to be on TV.

If they keep going, eventually they'll be able to support the series with just an audience of the drunks, crackheads and/or petty criminals who have been on the show. ;) They must have quite an alumni roster by now

The only ones I really care about are Castle and How I Met Your Mother.

I'm curious about The Office, but I'm not expecting much.

I'll watch The Amazing Race and Biggest Loser, mainly just out of habit now.

No idea on which, if any new shows I'll watch yet.

Maybe I should make a new thread about this, but I just read the synopsis of Once Upon a Time, and correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this a 1:1 rip off of Fables? I can't believe they can get away with making this show withouit paying royalties.

this may be the office's last season. which is sad it's a great show. the season finale should've been michael leaving.

Lots of folks have been saying that. But as long as they stick to public-domain characters like Snow White, they should be in the clear. (If Fables has any original characters, OUaT should steer clear of them.)

I don't see how anyone can trademark the concept of placing public-domain folk-tale characters in a real-world context. Fables can't be the first time anyone's done that.

What really undermines the accusation of OUaT being a ripoff is that Grimm is getting hit with the same charge. Yet Grimm has a distinct premise - it's a cop show where the bad guys (and maybe some allies) are folk-tale characters. OUaT is not a cop show, more like a mystery from what I can tell. You can have two distinct shows "ripping off" the same story unless the definition of "rip off" is too broad to be legally actionable.

Update to Green Lantern, I think that Sept 5 premiere date I gave is wrong. Not sure what the right one is.

okay I have never read those I may have to check out a graphic or two before the premie.
