Fall 2015 New TV Series

I can't force you to think like I think from this distance.

;)

Best Time Ever is playing with peoples minds.

Usually when you think that your TV is talking to you and giving you orders, you should ignore it.

Oh Neil, you so crazy.

The Muppets was really funny! Pleasant surprise. I didn't Kermit was a jerk boss at all. What did he do that was bad?

Kermit wasn't just a jerk boss. He was just a jerk. "It's too late for me. Save yourself." "I live in a bacon wrapped hell." Those are just the things off the top of my head that I didn't like. What happened to the Kermit, who while he didn't always agree with those around them or got frustrated with them, at least had a penchant of tact?

That was missing.

Yeah, it was as if they took the dark-ish aspects of the first two movies and amplified it ten-fold, while forgetting the whimzy and heart.

Quantico had a good first episode, but as described in another thread, it follows the How To Get Away With Murder fast-forward.

I watched The Muppets pilot. Not great, not terrible, so I'll give it another go next week.

The episode this week was much better.

Fozzy visiting Jay Leno's house and then breaking a candy dish Leno himself stole from George Carlin was funny. Felt very Curb-ish. The A-plot with Kermit and Miss Piggy though, I dunno. But I don't really buy Miss Piggy as a talk show host. She comes across as too shallow and uninterested, other than when it comes to herself, which I suppose is part of the point as even Kermit shows that he's depressed that it's not working out too well, but I just don't think it works in terms of show mechanics. I hope it means they have Kermit eventually take it over.

That's exactly what I thought.

The bit near the end with Fishburne was fantastic.

And someone should tell Lea that frogs aren't the same as ducks.

I agree, second episode of Muppets was much improved. Struck a better balance with the humor. I loved the opening scene with secret alert codes for Piggy's mood. Kermit's delivery was perfect!

Grandfathered: it was amusing
The Grinder: Rob Lowe was super funny as always
Dr. Ken: this was a disappointment. very run of the mill. won't bother continuing.
