Fake DVD

Yeah, yeah I know. "It was only 3 quid, what the fuck you whinging for?" Right?

Not at all mate. Even if they charged 50p you'd be well within your rights to complain about a dodgy copy.

TBH I thought Amazon run a tighter ship than this, ok I expect this kind of thing from eBay

To be fair on Amazon, the ship is pretty tight in my experience. I've only ever had two problems in about 8 years or so of using the Marketplace. One of them (a missing disc) was sorted by the seller, who very kindly refunded my money and sent the missing disc (it was only about £2.50, but still, that's fantastic service).

The other time was similar to Bob's, the seller was a douchebag about it and Amazon refunded on his behalf. You can't say better than that for customer service.

The one and only time I bought a Game Boy Advance game off ebay it was a copy, and it was unable to save game data. The instruction booklet was also written in Engrish. Contacted the seller and he was adamant that it was genuine and din't give me a refund. Claimed my money back after a dispute was filed.

Well to their credit i cant really complain, over the years i have had nothing but excellent service and have only had one thing not arrive, which they promptly refunded, and eBay are a hundred times worse with what feels like no help at the end of the tunnel if you get scammed or end up out of pocket.

Well the seller has failed to respond, so far, to an email sent on Thursday. Amazon said to give the seller 3 working days to respond, then get back in touch with them about a refund.
How much hassle is it getting a refund from Amazon? Is it more trouble than it's worth for £3?

For £3 i would already be in the car half way to their house, with the few episodes of Enterprise that were released on video from season one in the boot, to throw at them....that way i would kill two bird with one stone.:guffaw:

He shoots, he SCORES!!!!..

Sorry, caffeine overload.

Anyway give it another few days, plus i am sure you need to wait at least 12 days or roundabout that before amazon start proceedings, assuming you have not heard anything back by then.

That's a bit harsh. No love for those rare "Future is Closer Than You Think..." video trailers huh?

Personally I'd go for Voyager. 7 times as much ammo, especially for those with anger management issues like me.

I'd sleep well that night for sure... ;)

There is only one use I can think of for Voyager box sets, and it is indeed ramming them up the arses of people who fucking deserve bulky objects forced into their anus.

Also, there's the lovely irony of shit going up the arse.

That sucks, but at least Amazon's working to get your money back.

Amazon US has the marketplace sellers completely separate from themselves or third-party sellers/vendors who sell through them. It's easy to click on something from a third-party vendor, but very difficult to do so from a marketplace seller the way the buttons and layout are done.

Hmm, apparently they're issued a refund, because I never received it...

If the seller is telling you they issued a refund but you don't see it in the next 24 hours or so, take it up with Amazon. Odds are the seller's trying to scam you and hoping you'll go away.

Well if I don't get an email from Amazon about the refund in the next couple of days, or it doesn't show up in my bank account, I will contact Amazon about it.
