Greetings All,
This is just an FYI, not a question; and since it drove me nuts, I thought I should pass my findings along...
If you have encountered a problem in which your site's meta information is not picked up by Facebook's sharer, even though the entire head seems to be in line with Facebook's gudelines, then you might be using Conditional Comments.
For some reason, they interfere with FB's scraping mechanism, as illustrated by these pages (try sharing them to see what I mean):
http://shikarnov.com/test-conditionals.html
http://shikarnov.com/test-noconditionals.html
So if your sites only show the URI when shared on Facebook, then this may be your problem, and solution.
Good luck!
Z.
PS: I also posted this on FB's Developer Forum, if anybody's interested.
