Fable 2 for free

Yeah, now MS people are saying it's just "episode 1"... but people who played episode 1 said that the download was 1.6 gigs and not 7. Who knows anymore. :lol:
 
Okay, I wasn't a huge fan of the original Fable, but now I just might have to check out the sequel :lol:
 
They might have taken it down once they realized the mistake. Apparently if you downloaded the demo from before, if you redownload it you'll get the full game.
 
I really liked Fable II. It was really addictive with a good combat system and good graphics and a great sense of humor. I actually went and did all the side quests and I never ever do that.
 
Unfortunately I'll never get to play it. Never owned a console and never will. Pretty asinine that 1 and 3 are on PC and 2 isn't.
 
When I try the link, it asks me to cough up £19.99. :( Screw that, I can get it for less than half that pre-owned, and it won't take up valuable real estate on my HDD.
 
Yeah, they fixed it earlier in the day unfortunately. It's funny because at first they were promoting it on twitter until someone must have actually checked the link and figured out that they were giving away the full game by "accident".

I'm still not totally convinced that this wasn't just a viral marketing trick. :lol:
 
I think I managed to get it. I already have it on disc but I figured if it means I don't have to put the disc in that'd be cool. Haven't played it yet so don't know if it's the entire game of just episode 1.
 
I just played through Fable 2 (Platinum Hits version with bundled DLC) a month or so ago. I found the performance abysmal and the combat to be just button-smashing, but the story was good and there was one thing that was awesome.

My character married a prostitute who was listed as "aggression-loving." She was also going to give me a gift if I could scare her, so I tried the "slap" expression... and the metre showing how attractive she found my character went up! After that, my character could heep her pretty happy by coming home, having his way with her, and then slapping her around. I thought, "Holy shit. I'm actually role-playing a wife-beater." :eek:

Something about that says "my character is evil" in a way that killing sprees and human sacrifice never will.
 
^And when people say it it's almost like they believe they're taking some kind of moral stance. Not pointing the finger at Evil Twin, just making a general observation.

The whole console vs PC thing is dumb, and if you can't see the advantages and disadvantages of both you're not thinking about it too hard.
 
Well, considering it's out next week on 360, it might as well be eventually. :lol:

It looks like the fixed this glitch thing though. Even if you had it in your queue, you can't download it.
