Have to like Horners commeent "It didn' hurt them too much, as they are on the front row" or words to that effect.

Shame I must have missed the silver car on pole position for the 3 races before the tyre test.

I can understand why Pierelli might want to use the Merceds to test the tyres as they are one of the teams hardest on the tyres. So if they hold up well with a car that chews tyres they should work well on cars who are lighter on the tyres.

If I were Lotus, I might consider dropping Gorsjean for next year. Whilst he hasn't been as bad as last year, he still needs to not crash as often.

Well Grosjean has already had a one race ban last season, I suspect too many more incidents might incur another race ban if not something like a 3 race ban.

I find it funny that Red Bull even bothered whining about the Merc tyre test in the first place, given that they've used plenty of tricks themselves in the past to get more running time (e.g. when they had FOUR OF THE SAME CAR, albeit with two different engine manufacturers and teams running them). RB are nothing but serial cheaters clutching at straws trying to find excuses to say 'HEY LOOK OTHER PEOPLE CHEAT AS WELL NOT JUST US LOL'. Assholes.
