Sry but it never would have worked Janeway had sent a micro transponder into the wormhole witch got stuck in the colapsing wormhole so therefor the passage was blocked only allowing transport and communication . Janeway would have destroyed voyager or sent it on a one way trip straight back to the alpha quadrant on auto pilot but the series wouldnt end if voyager didn't return with them so no ship no end sry

That might have worked.
But the problem is, there were no subspace compression anomalies in the area where Voyager was.
I only saw the DS9 episode in question once, but I was under the impression the anomaly was not such a regular occurrence.

I cant remember for sure, but I am pretty sure though Telek R'Mor contacted Voyager again at some point when there was a Dark Matter crisis. I think maybe it was a book series. And those worm holes were definantly stable; as the Romulans sent though a dozen warbirds after Voyager.
