Extinct pets?

Yes, here's a somewhat random topic. If you could have any extinct animal as a pet, what would it be?

My pick is Pristeroognathus, because the idea of a dog-like reptile is fucking awesome.

What about you?

I would pick the shovel lizard because it only has two teeth and looks like it could use a friend.

Of course, there are many people who believe that they still roam the remote areas of Tasmania but I think if they still existed there would have been more proof by now.

Thylacines were quite placid creatures, something my neighbour's cat isn't.

For that matter, Tasmanian devils are also quite placid creatures as well.

A Dodo. Because they're cute and friendly.

Unfortunately their friendliness is what made them go extinct... they were too trusting of humans, I guess that really does make them deserving of their reputation for stupidity.

A small pterosaur would be nice. An Anuragnathus, perhaps, or one of the smaller species of Pterodactylus.

The most dangerous creature in Tasmania is a species of ant - big, bad tempered and has caused more deaths than sharks, snakes, spiders and wasps put together.
