Extant premieres tonight - are you going to watch?

I'm half way through seven, and I am at a loss at to why no one hasn't just shot halle?

The guy playing Sparks, did some Greys Anatomy that climaxed with him wandering around the Hospital in a season finale, with a hand gun thinning the herd.

At least 6 regulars had to empty their lockers and hand in their studio ID passcards.

KILL HER!

Caught up.

Sparks: there is something about this guy's voice, all buttery and smokey. I love listening to him. This is stupid though since he is very unattractive and says nothing interesting at all.

Julie is still cool.

Sparks, BLECH I hate the whole "oh my daughter wah wah" thing, what is he stupid? Is he really happy with this brain dead hologram of a daughter mutely staring at him, is this a substitute worth killing for? Okay he is a stunted individual.

I was told to watch this series by someone enamored with the basic A.I. premise, a premise I can't choke down in any way. It's taken only a few months for Ethan to turn dangerous, potentially very dangerous. But apaz he is supposed to keep going to school and his parents are going to keep demanding everyone see him as human.

Agree about the skin, it was MUD!!! Stupid, stupid, stupid.

The alien must have altered Molly, why else would she be so compelled to see it? I dunno, it rings hollow. Troi crying over her alien insta-baby was more relatable.

Some people can't tell tell the difference between a baby and murderous parasite.

Some people, it takes 16 years to figure out that all babies are murderous parasites.

Ethan raised a point that covers why his skin ripped so easily.

He was built to be weak.

He can't be strong because then he would then become unrealistic as a little boy, but he's getting to the point where he's thinking "fuck realism" because he wanted to throw those kids into a tree.

I'm still standing by my original concept for where the show is going.

So far, the aliens seem to have only a minor ability to influence technology, and that's largely just causing lights to flicker or fry circuitry and things of that nature. Ben, the AI on Berry's ship certainly didn't seem to be influenced or even able to detect the alien presence. That coupled with AIs getting fried and turning into super AIs after recovering (on their own, mind you), strongly implies to me that it's going to be an AI vs. Aliens show with humans just struggling to survive their own impending extinction. Hence the title and flickering between Extinct and Extant.

No one smokes in the future?

What year is this set?

You know what would be amazing?

(Google doesn't know.)

If at some point some bugger just casually mentions that it is the year 4000.

They don't have an exact year, but I think one of the creators said it was something like 20-30.

But their world is so ridiculously bland.

Maybe its just because we are not seeing poor people and poor people problems, but really if up and down the spectrum the entire world is that antiseptic, not only will I think that its the 50th century, but that human civilization has been knocked back to the stone age and rebuilt it's way back up from zero.

It's not that Halle should be shot, it's that she's such a pompous ass not even anticipating the certainty that someone is going to shoot her.

She's worried about her baby, when really both her children are sibling rivalrous about who is going to extinguish humanity first... Mother of monsters?

Adams second wife?

Lillith? Lilly?

Really, they could have drawn some stark religious symbolism here by just calling the girl Lily instead of Molly.

Extant = moment of time.

The final Star Wars move, Nine, is supposed to be about how every thing, all nine movies had just been about some one reviewing/cleaning R2D2's old deep storage memory banks/hard drives.

WTF is Arrow doing on reruns of Private Practice?

Wait?

Louis Gosset JR was playing a really skungy sort of character.

I didn't even make it to the finale. I stopped caring what happened to the characters in the end because everything was so wishy-washy.
