Yup. I've got one of the CPUs (Athlon 64 X2 5400+) that the recent update doesn't play nicely with. I haven't gotten any of the supposed fixes to work so it looks like I'm going to spend the next few days pulling stuff off the drive and reinstalling 7 and all my programs.

The Command Prompt fix has spaces in it.

In my irate state I completely missed those for some reason. With the spaces the fix actually works. Glad I caught that before I started the wipe and reinstall everything process.)

I hate power companies. Just had a two second power outage that completely f'd up a back up I was doing. Was up to 92 percent. Now I have to do it yet again from the beginning and I don't have a lot of space left.

Not bothering right now though until I find out what the hell is going on with the power. I can't afford yet another outage.

Found out it was even worse... a power surge.
