SHOCKED.
I know I always fail to use one word in this thread so I will continue my trend.
The other day, I saw a picture of my hubby's ex from high school (the relationship lasted less than a year and happened 20 years ago).......and what a SHE BEAST.
She is the total opposite of what I thought she would look like. Now, granted, it has been 20 years so age has not been the kindest to her and I saw a picture that looked like it may have been around her HS days (well, she was young in it, at least) and she still looked like a beast.
I told my hubby that she is not good looking at all and he says that she was in HS but I just can't picture it at all, no matter how hard I try.
He's not ugly so I have no idea what he was thinking. I know that looks aren't everything but even if she had a great personality, I don't know how anyone could have the strength to enjoy looking at her face. She has this gigantic jaw and sloppy eyebrow region....oh man, I don't think I'm the greatest looking person on the planet but he has improved his taste a TON.
If I ever had low self esteem before, it is sky rocketing now.

^^^You know, it's funny--the attractiveness of a the girl a guy dates has almost as much to do with how attractive other women find him than his attractiveness itself. I once saw a relationship go pear-shaped because the current girlfriend was horrified when she met an old fling who was not her idea of pretty (mine either, really).
