Explain your Sig!

Zulu Romeo

World Famous Starship Captain
Admiral
.... to keep in the spirit of the recent threads in Misc., and because good things come in threes....

What is the origin of your signature, and what meaning does it hold to you? Is it a statement of intent, a mere calling card, a pithy quote, a link to greater things, or something else?

My sig is a link to the Ravescene BBS, a website originally created (not by myself :() as an April Fool's Day joke last year, but which then grew a little bit from there as an alternative chat place thing. (It's seen better days, I think.)

The text linking to it is of course Gromit's catchphrase.

What about you all? Does your sig have a story to tell?

The football club I support has won 32 national championship titles so "mission 33" is our slogan for the campaign to take #33 (which is starting to look increasingly unlikely for this season unfortunately :()

My sig stems from the fact that I chose a desert mouse inspired name, and my av was initially the rat from ratatouille. Also, I found the fact that I was born in the Chinese year of the rat fascinating at the time, for some reason.

My sig is clearly a deep and meaningful philosophical statement, or something.

:D

First: Link to my blog (which is shamelessly behind)
Second: First line to "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies"
Third: Link to Mr. Papaya's Facebook page, as he was the friendliest of fruits :(

| my sig is a few lines from a song by the band papertrigger,
| who are sadly not together anymore
| and a link to my blog

:D

Well the first part of my sig is a clear act of self-promotion. What can I say, I love the NX-01. The second part I change on a regular basis and is usually a quote that I really like. And since I collect quotes, I have a ton of them. :bolian:

My sig is a line from Samuel T. Cogley (ours, not the TOS character), which I felt summarized perfectly far too many of the discussions that go on here. On other forums, I use another Cogley line, which I feel summarizes internet boards in general. “Just as a fun exercise, imagine what a bunch of hot chicks would think if they were reading this thread over your shoulder. I like to do that from time to time.”

A Picard quote from S1, I'm not sure which episode. There is a bold subgenius to the statement that I find appealing. An artistic boldness as well, to live one's life to the hilt in the pursuit of one's passions, which is the impression we get from Picard with the stellar phenomenon they were about to witness.

Mine's a line from the most popular film on the forum, and a link to my Doctor Who series 1 reviews.
