I was curious as to whether or not anyone here had heard of a in-development game called Exodus, or of any of the tie-in material being cooked up for this setting?
The game itself is due for release in 2027, and has been compared to the Mass Effect game series, both in terms of its space-opera setting and its apparent game mechanics. Notably, one of the non-player characters in the game is to be voiced by Matthew McConaughey.
In terms of tie-in material, there's a set of two novels: The Archimedes Engine, which was released over a year ago; and The Helium Sea, due out later this month.
Beyond this, there's a tabletop RPG sourcebook line.

I mention it since the premise seems to be quite an interesting one.
The focus of the lore is on the Omega Centauri cluster, which was the target of waves of ark ships sent out from the Sol system.
In this setting, however, there are no means of faster-than-light travel or communication. Interstellar travel involves ships being sent at high relativistic speeds, with the associated time dilation effects being factored in.
So, in the time gap between the first ark ship arrivals in the Centauri Cluster sending signals back to Sol, and this signal triggering the next waves of ark ships to arrive thereafter, the descendants of the first generation had long since evolved into a series of "post-human" species known collectively as the Celestials.
What's more, one of these Celestial factions had placed a series of objects known as the Gates of Heaven across the known Cluster. These devices greatly simplify intra-Cluster travel, but still do not break the speed of light, and still place those passing through them under time dilation effects.
So, both in lore and in game terms, there's a real sense of difference between what happens to those who stay aboard a given ship travelling from one part of the Cluster to another, and those (to include their friends or family members) who get left behind...

So, does this setting seem like an interesting one to take a closer look at?
