Tarquin's telepathy only works in "rare instances" yet of course it was enough that he had to be exiled.

And by the end of the ep he's screwing with the ship, so he's obviously
got more under the hood than the show told us.

Anyone know what that is ? (insider gossip) or care to speculate ?

Either he can affect distant powerplants or can mess with multiple minds to make it look that way...

I think Tarquin was a liar. As for his abilities leading to his exile, he might have been abusing his abilities. It's not as if he could be trusted.
